The daily loss is a dollar line, not a mood
Prop firm drawdown protection only helps if it uses the same balance the firm is scoring. A 5% day on $100,000 is $5,000. A 4% day on that account is $4,000. Venasri reads the connected MT5 equity, so the open loss counts, not just the trades you already closed.
Rules still differ by firm. FTMO, FundingPips, and The5ers do not all reset the day the same way. The prop firm rule library is where those formulas live. The guard is what acts on the account you linked.
What happens when the loss gets close
Equity Guard warns as the loss grows and can flatten every open MT5 position before the daily limit. That is the whole product job: the click to survive does not depend on you noticing the floating number during a fast Gold move.
Turn it on from Equity Guard after you create a free account and connect the terminal. The Pro plan at $29.99 a month includes the guard. The free plan does not.
