Zurich morning is the only session that regularly mean-reverts with depth
From 06:30 to 11:30 UTC, Swiss and euro cash share a book. That is when Bollinger touches and H4 range edges actually fill. After 12:30 UTC the pair can inherit dollar noise without gaining range. Asia is a tighter coil inside an already small ATR.
A 30 to 50 pip day does not give you three sessions. Mark 0.9350, 0.9400, and 0.9450 overnight. Trade the European fade or hold only if H4 still says range. Breakouts do happen, but they are the minority regime and they often arrive on SNB language, not on an M15 close.
Small ATR, $11.40 pips, 5.84 lots at 15 pips
Pip value sits near $11.40, like USDCHF. A 0.5 pip spread is $5.70. A 15-pip stop at 1% of $100,000 is 5.84 lots. That lot figure looks like EURUSD until you remember a normal noise bar is 8 to 12 pips and an SNB bar is 50 to 100.
If you start free on Venasri, use 2.92 lots at 0.50% for evaluations. Venasri Equity Guard should flatten on any SNB headline even if the rest of the book is asleep, because this pair is the SNB spread.
SNB intervention risk is the reason quiet pairs still breach accounts
SNB surprise cuts or verbal intervention can gap EURCHF through a 12 to 20 pip stop before the next tick. That is the 2015 lesson in smaller clothing. ECB days matter less than SNB days here, but dual European policy still can break a months-long range.
Black out SNB windows. If you already hold EURUSD and USDCHF, you may already own synthetic EURCHF. Correlation Guard should cap that triangle so three 0.50% tickets are not one euro-franc view.
EURCHF session gates: range first, SNB always off
Trade 06:30 to 11:30 UTC. Require spread under 0.9 pips, H4 still in range (or a confirmed regime break), and a 12 to 20 pip stop beyond the 00 or 50 handle. Reject SNB days and reject 6-pip scalps into the range midline.
Park those gates on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. EURCHF pays the European mean reversion. It bills traders who size 5.84 lots because yesterday only traveled 28 pips.
