Xetra morning is the DAX session; New York is the second vote
Frankfurt cash from 07:00 to 10:30 UTC is prime. That is when GER40 regularly finishes a 120-point leg inside a 180 to 310 point day. The US overlap from 13:30 to 15:30 UTC is the second window, when S&P beta hitchhikes into the DAX. After 16:00 UTC you are in a thinner futures book.
The first Xetra minutes hunt the overnight gap. Wait for 07:15 to 07:30 UTC before treating a break of 19000, 19250, or 19500 as a trend. Traders who market-on-open the DAX at 07:00:05 UTC are donating to that sweep.
Euro-point math and a 55-point adult stop
Many prop CFDs treat 1.00 lot as about $1.08 per index point (or €1). A 1.2 point spread is about $1.30. That is noise on a 55-point stop and a tax on a 22-point scalp. Intraday belongs at 45 to 75 points. Swing belongs at 120 to 210 points.
If you start free on Venasri, 16.83 lots at a 55-point stop is 1% of $100,000. Evaluation default is about 8.4 lots. Venasri Equity Guard should flatten if the 07:00 UTC gap already spent 3% before you add into ECB.
German data, ECB, and the US beta that arrives at 13:30 UTC
German ZEW and IFO prints land in the European morning and can travel 80 to 150 DAX points. ECB policy is a DAX event, not only an EURUSD event. At 13:30 UTC, NAS100 and US500 open and often yank GER40 into a second trend or a full reversal of the Xetra morning.
Black out ZEW, IFO, and ECB. If you already hold US500, treat a 13:30 UTC DAX add as stacked equity beta. Correlation Guard should cap that book so Europe and the US are not two 0.50% lines on the same risk-on ticket.
GER40 session gates after the Xetra sweep
Trade 07:15 to 10:30 UTC after the gap hunt, or 13:45 to 15:30 UTC if US equities lead. Require spread under 1.6 points and a stop beyond the 100, 250, or 500 handle plus the opening range. Reject 07:00:00 UTC market orders.
Park those gates on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. GER40 pays the European morning that still has ATR left. It bills the trader who needs to click the Xetra bell.
