£1 per point, about $1.29, smaller ATR
UK100 CFDs are often £1 per point, ~$1.29 at typical Cable. 1000 / (28 × 1.29) = 27.70, stored as 27.66 lots at 1%. If your spec is $1, lots rise. If it is £10, lots crash. Spread 0.8 to 1.5 points. ATR 65 to 115 points is closer to US500 in "points of body," not to DAX 180 to 310.
Handles 8250, 8300, 8350 (50/100). London Stock Exchange 07:00 to 10:30 UTC is the session. Oil and mining swings can trend it without a US headline because those sectors dominate the weight.
06:00 UTC UK data, BoE, and commodity beta
UK CPI/GDP at 06:00 UTC hits before the 07:00 cash open, so the Xetra-style gap can already be in the futures. BoE days reprice banks. WTI/UKOIL swings reprice energy weights. This is why FTSE can trend while NAS100 chops, and why it is a terrible NAS100-beta hedge.
connect your MT5 account to Venasri and black out 06:00 UTC and BoE. The 10 to 18 point scalp stop is for post-08:00 UTC mean reversion, not for the 07:00 print after a 06:00 shock.
27.66 lots at 28 points using 1.29
lots = 1000 / (stop × 1.29). At 28 points: 27.66 at 1%, 13.83 at 0.50%. Scalp 10 to 18, intraday 22 to 36, swing 55 to 95. Set 1.29 in the Half-Kelly Lot Size Calculator & Equity Guard. A $1 leftover tick would size 35.71 lots and overshoot 1% by 29%.
If UKOIL or GBPAUD is open, you may already own energy or sterling. Haircut UK100. It is not a sterile "index diversifier" when BP and Shell are the move.
Trade LSE morning mean reversion, not Nasdaq open habits
After 07:30 UTC, fade Bollinger/H1 extremes toward 50-handles with 22 to 36 point stops, 13.83 lots. Skip 06:00 and BoE. Do not wait for 13:30 UTC unless oil is the thesis into NY.
Confirm sterling tick, UK calendar, and unused energy budget on the Pre-Trade AI Confluence Checklist. UK100 is a London mean-reversion index with commodity beta. It is not a mini-DAX and not a mini-Nasdaq.
