The stop belongs on the ticket at the fill
Live Axi execution has no artificial message ceiling, and it also has no sympathy for a market order with an empty stop field. Equity is marked live. A gold position at 1.00 lot, $10 per 0.10 move, loses $10 a pip while you are still typing. Forty pips of hesitation is $400. On 1.45 lots it is $580, most of a $650 band. The guard should submit the protective stop with the entry, not as a follow-up task.
MT4 and MT5 are both valid. Expert Advisors are fully allowed, so the attachment can be automatic. Sign up on Venasri and connect the account before the session, not from the phone after the first fill. A setup you build during the London open is already late.
Four partials change the cash without a new opinion
On a $500 idea, taking a quarter off at 1R banks about $125 and leaves three quarters working. A second quarter at a further target banks more, and the remainder can move to breakeven so a full reversal does not donate the original $500 back to the day. Four slices are enough. A dozen micro-closes are how traders turn a clear idea into a pile of edits.
Those edits are legal here, unlike programs that count every modification against a 2,000 message cap. They are not free in the Edge Score sense. A position you restop six times in a minute is the 60-second leak, one of the revenge patterns, even if each edit was small. Bot controls should allow the planned partials and throttle anything beyond that script.
Breakeven after the first partial, not after hope
Move the stop to the entry once the first slice has paid, plus a pip or two for the spread, so the remaining position cannot turn the winner into the original loser. Doing it earlier, before any partial, often scratches a trade that needed room and teaches you to widen the next stop. Widening is the second leak. The sequence is partial, then breakeven, then leave it alone.
News has no blackout, so a breakeven shift during CPI can itself slip. If the release is inside the next minute, either be flat or accept that the shift may fill worse than the entry. Weekend holds are permitted. A breakeven stop left on Friday can gap through on Sunday and still lose, because the gap trades through the stop. Reduce the lot on Friday if that slippage is larger than the remaining room in the $5,000 day.
Equity Guard is the backstop when the ticket stop fails
Ticket stops fail when the market gaps or when the platform link hiccups. Equity Guard at 4.25%, $4,250 on $100,000, closes the book from the equity number rather than from one order. That is the difference between a $400 late fill and a $5,000 day. The 10% stage hole, $10,000, still pauses the allocation for 2 weeks if several naked tickets stack.
Check the link during a quiet hour: place a tiny position, confirm the stop appears, confirm a partial reduces the lot, confirm breakeven moves the stop, then flatten. Do that before you trust it with a $500 unit. The monthly settlement on the 1st does not wait while you debug a missing stop on the last afternoon of the month.
