The 2-step hole does not chase a winning week
Flagship 2-step maximum loss is a static 8% from initial balance. On $100,000 the lifetime floor is $92,000, and it does not rise because Tuesday closed up $4,000. Daily loss is separate: 4% of day-start balance at the 00:00 UTC rollover, or $4,000 when the day opens at $100,000. You can be $6,000 above the lifetime floor and still be finished because the day printed $4,000. Phase 1 asks for 8% and Phase 2 asks for 5%. There is no minimum trading day on the standard evaluation.
That static shelf is the reason a swing in BTCUSD can be planned. You know the death line in dollars from the first hour. You do not know it if you import a trailing habit from the 1-step contract. Open a Venasri account and label the profile 2-step or 1-step before you type a lot. The Kraken-backed Breakout book, based in Tortola and live since 2023, will not correct the label for you.
The 1-step 6% trail moves when you are right
The 1-step maximum is a 6% trail, $6,000 on $100,000 at the start, and daily loss on that product is 3%, or $3,000. A trail means unrealized or end-of-path highs can lift the floor. A week that peaks $4,000 in open profit does not leave the original $6,000 of air sitting underneath. The 2-step static rule would have ignored that peak. The 1-step rule is paid to notice it. Passing faster is not free room.
Work the cash. Start at $100,000, trail floor near $94,000. A push to $105,000 that the trail follows can leave the floor much closer to current equity than $8,000 away. Then a normal crypto pullback, well inside what a 2-step trader calls noise, tags 6%. Daily loss can tag first: 3% is $3,000, so two large losers end the day while the trail still looks fine. Read both meters. They are not duplicates.
Daily loss uses day-start balance, not the equity high
Breakout daily loss is taken from day-start balance at 00:00 UTC, on a market that does not close. It is not the higher-of-equity midnight used by several FX prop desks. A floating winner does not, by itself, ratchet the next daily allowance the way that other formula does. What does kill the account is a wick through the 4% line while the position is open, including a Saturday wick, because the line is live all weekend.
The platforms are Breakout Terminal and a TradingView integration, not a bank MT5 server with a Prague clock. Your flatten tool still has to know 00:00 UTC. Bot controls pointed at a forex midnight will be asleep or early while the crypto day rolls. Set the clock to UTC and leave it there when London and New York change the hour on the wall.
Stand 0.75 points in front of the daily line
On the 2-step $100,000 book, Equity Guard should flatten near 3.25% of daily loss, about $3,250, so the official $4,000 print is not the first exit. On the 1-step book the official day is $3,000, so the guard belongs near 2.25%, about $2,250. Using 3.25% on a 1-step account flattens after the firm has already failed you. The lifetime trail needs its own alert, because a daily guard does not watch a rising 6% floor.
There is no best-day consistency cap on the standard 1-step or 2-step evaluation, and there is no news blackout. That freedom makes the drawdown lines the whole contract. A CPI candle is allowed. A CPI candle that slips $4,000 of equity is not forgiven. Size the position so the planned stop is a fraction of the daily line, and let the guard catch the unplanned wick.
