The 60-second stop is a compliance clock, not a suggestion
Risk tools and self-owned Expert Advisors are allowed. A naked manual ticket is not. Once the order fills, the stop has to be on the position inside 60 seconds. Traders miss it when they drag the entry on the phone, get a partial fill, and start managing the target before the stop exists. The position can be $400 in profit and still be the ticket that ends the evaluation.
The same clock is why a market order during a fast gold spike is dangerous on this desk. You may know the stop price and still fail to transmit it before the count ends. Bot controls should attach the stop as part of the entry, so the 60-second window is never the plan.
00:00 takes the higher of balance and equity
Daily loss uses the higher of day-start balance or equity at 00:00 server time. A swing that is $2,200 in profit at 23:50 does not hand you a cushion. The snapshot can use the richer equity, and a giveback after midnight spends the new day. Closed balance can still show yesterday as a win. Weekend holding is permitted, so the Friday version of this snapshot has the whole weekend attached.
This is separate from the missing stop. You can have a legal stop, hold a large open gain, and still reprice Tuesday from Monday equity. On a $100,000 2-step the official day is $5,000. A $2,200 float is already 44% of that day if it gives back after the mark. Book part of it before the clock.
A 2-minute news slip and a 2,000-message day are the quiet cousins
Funded accounts cannot straddle high-impact news inside 2 minutes before the release or 2 minutes after it. Evaluation trading is looser, and people learn the funded window the hard way on the first CPI of the funded month. A stop that slips in that window still counts against the 5% day. The 2-minute block does not freeze the loss if you were already in.
There is also a 2,000 server request cap each day. Editing a stop every few seconds to dodge the 60-second rule can pass the stop test and fail the message test. Create a Venasri login and keep modifications scarce: one stop, then breakeven, then the partials you already planned.
Put a cash flatten in front of the clock and the snapshot
Equity Guard on a $100,000 2-step should flatten near $4,250, which is $750 inside the $5,000 day. That flatten does not replace the stop on the ticket. It limits the damage when gold runs before the stop exists, and it limits the damage when midnight equity gives back. The 1-step day is only 4%, so that product flattens nearer $3,250 on the same balance, against a trailing 6% maximum.
Each phase also wants three profitable days of at least half of 1%. Chasing that third day with a naked add-on is how a green week becomes a breach email. Attach the stop first. Then decide whether the runner is small enough to show the 00:00 server snapshot.
