The 5% day can hold seven $650 stops, and the 4% day cannot
Silver daily loss is 5%, or $5,000 on $100,000. A 0.35% unit is $350. Seven losses are $2,450, and you would need about fourteen full stops to reach the day. A 0.50% unit is $500. Seven losses are $3,500. A 0.65% unit is $650. Seven losses are $4,550, inside the day by $450. The eighth is $5,200, which is a breach. If you want that seventh stop to exist, $650 is the top, and the next trade after seven losers should not be placed.
Gold 1-Step daily loss is $4,000. Seven stops at $650 are $4,550, already through that day on the seventh ticket. Six stops at $650 are $3,900. The Silver band copied onto Gold is one stop too long at the top end. Bot controls should store the dollar cap per program. Bronze and Copper share the Silver 5% day and the static 10% maximum, so they can use the same $350 to $650 cash band. Their profit targets are not the same as Silver 8% and 5%, and the loss math is.
What $350, $500, and $650 look like in lots
Majors pay about $10 per pip at 1.00 lot. A 20-pip stop at $500 needs 2.50 lots. At $350 it needs 1.75 lots. At $650 it needs 3.25 lots. Gold pays $10 per 0.10 at 1.00 lot. A 50-pip gold stop at $500 is 1.00 lot. At $350 it is 0.70 lots. At $650 it is 1.30 lots. A longer stop requires a smaller lot or the cash unit has changed without a decision.
Every one of those tickets needs a stop in the order. A 2.50 lot FX idea with the stop typed later is not a $500 plan. It is an illegal ticket that might also become a much larger loss. The 0.80 to 1.45 gold band used to survive a wick sits above the half-percent size once the stop is 70 pips: 1.45 lots times 70 pips is about $1,015. That is a ceiling against a spike, not the $500 habit. Two such losers are $2,030, still inside a Silver day and already half of a Gold 1-Step day.
Two gold tickets are one idea when they share a dollar view
A 1.00 lot gold long and a EURUSD short often express the same US dollar move. If both stop out, the book has lost $1,000, a fifth of the $5,000 allowance, on one outcome. NAS100 and US30 can do the same at 13:30 UTC. One 80-point NAS100 stop at 6.25 lots is $500. A matching US30 idea at 5.00 lots on a 100-point stop is another $500. Pick one, or split the unit.
Multi-step plans also stop one trade from contributing more than 50% of cycle profit. A lot that can pay $4,000 on a single extension will hit that cap on an $8,000 Silver Phase 1 cycle. The $500 unit pays about $1,000 at 2R, which is well inside the cap. The static maximum of $10,000 is the lifetime floor. The day, the missing-stop rule, and the 50% share are the limits you will meet first.
Flatten at $4,250 so the eighth stop is never sent
Equity Guard should flatten Silver near $4,250 on $100,000. Seven $650 stops would be $4,550, so a guard at $4,250 fires before that seventh full loser has quite finished the day, and it definitely fires before an eighth. Gold 1-Step should flatten near $3,250, inside its $4,000 day and before a Silver-sized streak can complete. The stop on each ticket remains mandatory either way.
Sign up on Venasri and save the unit in dollars. A 20-pip FX stop and a 50-pip gold stop are the reference distances. If you widen either stop, cut the lot until the cash risk is back between $350 and $650 on Silver. Above $650, you no longer have seven full stops inside a 5% day. On Gold 1-Step, stay nearer $350 to $500 so the shorter day can absorb a real streak.
