The crypto maximum is the whole story
Breakout's 2-step is a 4% day and a static 8% maximum, anchored to day-start balance at 00:00 UTC. On $100,000 that is $4,000 today and $8,000 for the account. The 1-step is a 3% day and a 6% trailing maximum, $3,000 and $6,000. FTMO's 2-step is $5,000 and a static $10,000, reset at 00:00 CE(S)T from day-start balance plus floating PnL. FTMO's 1-step is a $3,000 day and a 10% end-of-day trail.
A 0.50% loss is $500 on either label. Breakout's day holds eight of them. FTMO's 2-step day holds ten. Because crypto trades through Saturday, those eight stops can print while you are away from the screen. The primary failure on this desk is an unwatched BTC, ETH, or SOL position into a thin weekend print that crosses 00:00 UTC and the $4,000 floor in the same wick.
Phase 1 is $2,000 easier, and the payout is USDC
Breakout Phase 1 is 8% and Phase 2 is 5%, so $8,000 then $5,000, with zero minimum trading days and no best-day cap on the standard evaluations. FTMO asks for $10,000 then $5,000 across four minimum days. The split at Breakout runs from 80% toward 90%, and funded profit can be withdrawn on demand in USDC. FTMO pays 80% to 90% on a cycle that starts 14 days after the first funded trade, in the ordinary funded-account rhythm, not as a daily stablecoin transfer.
There is no news blackout at Breakout. CPI and FOMC are tradable on purpose. FTMO Standard funded accounts block two minutes around red-folder events, and they must be flat into the weekend. FTMO Swing relaxes both at lower leverage. Open a Venasri account if you trade both, because the UTC crypto day and the Prague FX day should not share one alarm.
The MT5 bot does not attach to the Breakout terminal
FTMO runs on MT5, MT4, cTrader, and DXtrade, with EAs allowed inside 2,000 server requests a day. Breakout runs on its own terminal with a TradingView integration. Systematic execution is allowed when it trades real order-book depth without wash or spoof patterns. You cannot point an MT5 Expert Advisor at that crypto book and call it the same install.
Bot controls belong on the FTMO MT5 login. Use them to keep gold and FX inside the $500 unit and inside the two-minute news rule on Standard. The Breakout position still has to be flattened by you, or by a tool that actually speaks to that terminal, before a weekend wick spends the $4,000. Pretending one button covers both venues is how the crypto book dies on Sunday.
Flatten FX at $4,250 and crypto at $3,250
Equity Guard on the FTMO 2-step should sit near $4,250. The Breakout 2-step should sit near $3,250, inside the $4,000 UTC day. The 1-step crypto book, with a $3,000 day, needs a still tighter number, near $2,400. A single $4,250 alert copied onto Breakout fires after the account is already over.
If you hold a crypto winner through 00:00 UTC, the next day starts from that day's balance anchor. Check whether the open loss from a giveback is spending a fresh $4,000 or a leftover one. FTMO's weekend close removes this problem by forcing you flat. Breakout's 24/7 calendar removes that protection on purpose. The $41 fee gap does not buy a babysitter for Saturday.
