The 15% evaluation share versus a paid challenge you already understand
FTMO and FundedNext Stellar 2-Step both post 5% daily ($5,000) and 10% static maximum ($10,000) on a $100,000 account. FTMO resets off day-start balance plus floating PnL at 00:00 CE(S)T. FundedNext resets off day-start balance with an equity check at 00:00 server time (GMT+2, GMT+3 DST). Stellar 1-Step tightens that world to 3% daily and a static 6% maximum, which is still a static floor rather than an Apex-style intraday trail, and is the reason some one-step shoppers land here instead of at trailing desks.
Phase math favors FundedNext on paper: 8% then 5% versus FTMO's 10% then 5%. Calendar math does not. FundedNext wants five minimum trading days; FTMO wants four. First funded payout at FundedNext is after 21 days on the 2-Step path (5 days on Stellar 1-Step), then bi-weekly with the late-payout guarantee. FTMO starts bi-weekly 14 days after the first funded trade. If you need cash in the second week of being funded, Prague is faster than Ajman on the 2-Step path. If you want a cheque for challenge profits you would otherwise never see, Ajman is the product.
200 trades a day and the EA that dies on tick trails
EAs are allowed on FundedNext MT4 and MT5 when the EA usage option is active. FTMO allows them on all four platforms. News is allowed during FundedNext challenge phases; funded accounts take a 5-minute window around high-impact prints unless you buy an add-on, with profit-split deductions if you ignore it. FTMO Standard uses a 2-minute funded window and a weekend flatten; FTMO Swing removes both. Weekend holding is allowed across Stellar 1-Step, 2-Step, and Lite. That combination (weekend hold, 5-minute funded news tax, 200-trade cap) is a different operating system from Prague Swing.
Who should buy which $100,000 invoice
Buy FTMO if you want the longest public payout record, a Swing account that can hold news and weekends, and no 200-trade ceiling. Buy FundedNext if you want 8% Phase 1, a 15% cut of evaluation gains, a static 6% one-step option, and a written $1,000 hammer when operations miss a payout SLA. Do not buy FundedNext to run a high-frequency MT5 trail that modifies every tick. Do not buy FTMO Standard if Friday holds and CPI straddles are the strategy; buy Swing, or buy Stellar and pay attention to the funded 5-minute window.
Futures traders comparing these two names are in the wrong aisle. FundedNext Futures exists, and it is where a 40% consistency rule appears. The CFD Stellar path has no consistency cap. FTMO has no futures combine. If your product is NQ, leave this page for Topstep or Apex. If your product is XAUUSD and EURUSD on MT5, stay here and pick the hyperactivity rule you can live under.
Guarding a 200-trade book and a 4-day book together
Copying one EA onto FTMO and FundedNext without a message budget is how both accounts die on the same morning. In Venasri Equity Guard cap FundedNext at 4.25% daily flatten and a hard 180-trade warning so you never kiss the 200 fill limit, and cap FTMO at 4.25% of Prague day-start. Step-filter the trail manager so stop modifications do not burn the shared 2,000-message pool on either socket.
Venasri's free prop firm risk guard closes both books if either 5% daily is approached, and Manual Trade Guard puts a stop on the click so a FundedNext news add-on gap cannot sit naked into the 5-minute window. Prefer FundedNext when the 15% challenge share is the reason you applied. Prefer FTMO when Swing holding is the reason. Let the guard disagree with neither payout story when equity is the thing that actually fails.
