What a local protector EA still does
EarnForex-style Account Protector and MQL5 Market cousins will close baskets at an equity percent if the chart is connected. Free to $150 is a known range. For a desk that never leaves, they work.
They die on sleep, flaky VPS, and “I attached it to the wrong chart.” They often trail by rewriting SL every tick, which funded firms read as hyperactivity against ~2,000 daily requests.
Fragile host plus request spam
That pair is why people search for an alternative. A protector that is not running is worse than none, because you believed it was. A protector that is running too loud can fail you on conduct rules even if equity was fine.
Venasri trails structurally or on timers, retries invalid stops (retcode 10016) without a tick storm, and still texts you on iOS.
Cleaner fuse, same close-all intent
Equity Guard is the protector idea without 30 tabs. Set buffers in Venasri Risk Management. Manual Trade Guard covers the SL work those tabs also tried to do. See Venasri Pricing ($0 Free, $9.99 Starter, $29.99 Pro).
create a free Venasri account, remove the noisy EA on demo, and compare request counts for a day. The quieter log is the point.
When to keep a Market EA
If you love a specific input and the machine never sleeps, keep it - but disable duplicate trailers. If you trade from a phone or a sleepy laptop, the alternative is not another Market SKU. It is a socket that outlives the chart.
Read the firm’s EA policy either way. Quiet, step-filtered bridges survive more audits than tick spam.
