ETF hours are peak; weekends are a different market
BTCUSD trades every hour, but US spot ETF hours from 13:30 to 20:00 UTC are when institutional volume and the NAS100 liquidity link are most honest. London overlap from 12:00 to 16:00 UTC is the second decent window. Those hours hold the cleaner $1,800 to $4,200 ATR.
Saturday and Sunday are not a bonus session. Depth drops, $12 to $28 spreads can double, and liquidation cascades travel $2,000 with no human desk to fade them. If your firm allows weekend holds, cut size in half. If it bans them, flatten Friday before the 21:00 UTC FX-style roll also widens CFD quotes.
A $1 point on 1 BTC, and a $900 adult stop
On the normalized spec, 1.00 lot is 1 Bitcoin and $1.00 per $1.00 price move. A 20-point spread is $20.00, noise on a $900 stop and a tax on a $250 scalp. Intraday belongs at $600 to $1,100. Swing belongs at $1,800 to $3,200, which is a full ATR slice.
If you start free on Venasri, 1.11 lots at a $900 stop is 1% of $100,000. Evaluation default is 0.55 lots. Venasri Equity Guard should poll every few seconds on this symbol, because a weekend cascade does not wait for your next London login.
ETF prints, 00:00 UTC funding, and the NAS100 hitchhike
US spot ETF inflow and outflow prints can reprice BTC $1,000 during New York. The 00:00 UTC funding and daily reset can lurch perpetuals 1% to 3% as levered books roll. NAS100 dumps often drag BTC even when on-chain news is empty.
Black out the first minutes of 00:00 UTC if you are not a funding trader. Treat 12:30 UTC US CPI as a BTC event. If you already hold NAS100, BTC is high-beta risk. Correlation Guard should cap that stack. $1,000, $2,500, and $5,000 handles (65000, 67500, 70000) are where those cascades find stops.
BTC session gates for a market that never sleeps
Prefer 13:30 to 20:00 UTC. Require spread under $28, a $600 to $1,100 intraday stop beyond a $1,000 handle, and no unprotected weekend ticket. Reject Saturday "quiet grind" entries on 0.80 lots.
Tick those gates on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. BTCUSD pays ETF-hour structure. It bills traders who size a 24/7 book like a 9-to-4 index and leave it alone until Monday.
