Tokyo cash is the Nikkei session; New York is the exporter vote
TSE from 00:00 to 03:00 UTC is prime. That is when JPN225 prints the cleanest Asian index trend. The US session from 13:30 to 16:00 UTC is the second window, because Nasdaq overnight and USDJPY both reprice Japanese exporters.
The Tokyo open hunts the overnight futures range. Wait 15 minutes. A 60 to 100 point scalp into 00:00 UTC is the local 9:30 ET mistake. 500 and 1000 handles (38500, 39000, 40000) are the rails that open will test.
Wide spread, huge ATR, $1 CFD point
Many prop CFDs treat 1.00 lot as $1 per point. A 6-point spread is $6.00, which is 4% of a 160-point stop and 10% of a 60-point scalp. Intraday belongs at 130 to 220 points. Swing belongs at 350 to 600 points. Do not import a 12-point US500 stop onto this index.
If you start free on Venasri, 6.25 lots at a 160-point stop is 1% of $100,000. Evaluation default is 3.12 lots. Venasri Equity Guard should flatten when USDJPY and JPN225 both gap, because that is one exporter bet twice.
BoJ days and the yen shock that is the real Nikkei news
BoJ meetings can travel 400 to 800 Nikkei points. A sharp USDJPY drop (yen up) hits exporters and often gaps JPN225 even when the equity calendar is empty. Overnight Nasdaq dumps do the same from the other side.
Black out BoJ. If you already hold USDJPY or NAS100, you may already own the exporter or risk half. Correlation Guard should cap that stack. Sunday gaps after a weekend yen headline still debit Monday daily loss on many servers.
JPN225 session gates after the TSE auction
Trade 00:15 to 03:00 UTC after the open hunt, or 13:30 to 16:00 UTC if Nasdaq and USDJPY lead. Require spread under 8 points and a stop beyond the 500 or 1000 handle plus 1.5× ATR. Reject 00:00:00 UTC market orders.
Park those gates on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. JPN225 pays the Asian index trend. It bills traders who scalp 60 points on a 700-point instrument at the TSE bell.
