Cash open, the 15-minute double sweep, then the real trend
NAS100 CFDs trade nearly 24 hours, but the institutional book is New York regular hours. From 13:30 to 16:30 UTC (9:30 AM to 12:30 PM ET) the index prints most of its 220 to 420 point ATR. Power hour from 19:00 to 20:00 UTC (3:00 to 4:00 PM ET) is the second clean window, when MOC flow and late trend continuation show up.
The opening five minutes are a whip, not a strategy. Both pre-market extremes often print before 9:45 ET. Entries at 13:31 UTC against the first candle are how 25 to 45 point scalp stops die. Wait for the opening range to settle, then trade the displacement that leaves a Fair Value Gap.
Index points are not forex pips, and the spread still eats scalp stops
On a standard prop CFD, 1.00 lot is often $1 per index point. A 1.2 point spread is $1.20 per lot, which is noise on a 70-point stop and a tax on a 25-point scalp. Confirm your broker: CME E-mini NQ is $20 per point, MNQ is $2 per point. Copying a 14.28 CFD lot figure onto NQ is a twenty-times oversize error.
If you start free on Venasri, lock the contract spec before the open. At 1% of $100,000 a 70-point CFD stop is 14.28 lots. Evaluation default is about 7 lots, or 7 MNQ. Venasri Equity Guard should flatten near 3.5% daily loss because one 9:30 ET wick can gap the rest.
CPI at 12:30 UTC is an equity event, not only an FX event
US CPI and NFP print at 12:30 UTC, a full hour before the cash open. Nasdaq futures reprice there. If you are long NAS100 into that stamp, you are trading the news, not the open. Mega-cap earnings (AAPL, MSFT, NVDA, AMZN, META, TSLA, GOOGL) can gap the index 150 to 300 points overnight.
Black out 30 minutes around 12:30 UTC US data. Do not fade the first 13:30 UTC candle. If overnight earnings already spent 200 points of the ATR, treat the cash open as a range day, not a breakout day.
NAS100 session gates around 100 and 250 handles
Trade after 9:45 ET or during 19:00 to 20:00 UTC power hour. Require spread under 1.8 points, H4 agreement, and a stop beyond the opening range or a 100, 250, or 500 handle (20000, 20250, 20500). Reject the first 5-minute bar and reject any add that stacks NAS100 on top of a full US500 book.
Put those rules on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. Nasdaq pays the trader who lets the double sweep finish. It bills the trader who needs to click at 9:30:05 ET.
