Opening range versus a $5,000 box
7.14 lots at $1/point lose $7.14 per point. A 140-point open whip is $1,000, a full 1% on an evaluation that wanted 0.50%. 14.28 lots would be $2,000 for the same whip, twice, if you reverse. ATR 220 to 420 points means the whole day can live inside 5% at 1% size.
connect your MT5 account to Venasri and hard-block 13:30 to 13:45 UTC entries. Equity Guard at 3.5% (3.0% on CPI days) stops the second revenge ticket after the first sweep.
CPI at 8:30, cash at 9:30, earnings at 16:01
8:30 AM ET data reprices NQ futures before NYSE opens. Holding 7.14 lots into that print is a news trade, not an open-drive trade. Mega-cap earnings after the bell gap the next cash session. If weekend holding is banned, flatten Friday. If allowed, 3.50 lots max overnight.
Power hour 3:00 to 4:00 PM ET is MOC-and-gamma flow. Do not add 14 lots at 3:50 PM into a dealer wall. Correlation with US500 and US30 is 0.91: one index ticket, not three.
One US-index budget, correct tick value
NAS100, US500, US30 share beta. Combined 0.50%. Lock $1 (CFD), $2 (MNQ), or $20 (NQ) in the Half-Kelly Lot Size Calculator & Equity Guard. Wrong tick value is a silent breach.
Intraday 55 to 95 points at 7.14 CFD lots after 9:45 AM. Swing 150 to 260 points at ~3.50 lots. Scalp 25 to 45 points only after the opening range is set and spread is under 1.5.
NAS100 checklist: 9:45 AM, sweep done, no CPI, no earnings, one index
Require 9:45 to 11:15 AM or power hour with reduced size, pre-market sweep complete, 8:30 AM clear, unused US30/US500 budget, spread under 1.8, 70-point-class stop, 250-handle mapped.
Put that on the Pre-Trade AI Confluence Checklist. Manual Trade Guard attaches 70 points on fill; the open does not give you time to drag a stop on 14 lots of Nasdaq.
