ICE open plus EIA plus WTI stack
8.3 100-bbl lots lose $83 per dime. A $0.70 ICE gap is $581. 16.6 lots would be $1,162 before NYMEX even opens. Default 8.3 after 07:15 UTC, not at 07:00:01. Zero into EIA. Zero extra WTI.
connect your MT5 account to Venasri and block simultaneous UKOIL+USOIL at full size. Equity Guard at 3.5%, 3.0% on OPEC/Red Sea weeks. Barrel spec must match the WTI preset or the flatten math lies.
European energy morning is the job
07:00 to 11:00 UTC after the ICE print settles is why you listed Brent. Chasing 16:00 UTC leftover is WTI's world. Red Sea headlines can hit at any hour; treat them like NFP for this symbol: flatten first, thesis second.
Weekend OPEC: same rule as WTI. If the firm bans weekend commodities, Friday flatten. Brent Sunday gaps on Middle East news are the examples those rules were written for.
One crude budget, slightly wider spread tax
UKOIL + USOIL + CAD energy FX = 0.50%. 2.5 to 4.5 tick spreads mean $0.20 scalps are worse here than on WTI; prefer $0.45 to $0.75 intraday. Put the Brent tick in the Half-Kelly Lot Size Calculator & Equity Guard even if you think it equals WTI.
Swing $1.15 to $2.00 at 4 CFD lots. Intraday 8.3 lots after 07:15 UTC. Scalp only sub-3 tick spreads. EIA: 0 or 4 lots after M15.
UKOIL checklist: ICE settle, no WTI stack, EIA/OPEC/Red Sea, barrel spec
Require 07:15 to 11:00 UTC (or NY only if WTI is flat), sweep/gap settled, unused WTI budget, EIA/OPEC/Red Sea clear, barrel spec confirmed, $0.60-class stop, $1 handle mapped, spread under 4.5.
Save it on the Pre-Trade AI Confluence Checklist. Manual Trade Guard attaches $0.60 on fill. 16 lots of Brent at 07:02 UTC with a 4.5 tick spread is not a manual market.
