Recalculate at $7.35 before you copy 5.00 lots
One lot is 100,000 USD. Quote is CAD, pip value ≈ $7.35. A 25-pip stop is $183.75 per lot. $1,000 / $183.75 ≈ 5.44 lots. A 32-pip stop is 4.25 lots at 1%. If you still multiply by $10, you under-size (safer) or you ignore the formula and click 5.00 lots by habit, then add a second ticket because "it feels light."
Typical spreads are 0.3 to 0.8 pips. Daily ATR is 55 to 85 pips. Intraday stops belong at 20 to 32 pips. A 10-pip scalp on 13 lots is inside the 12:30 UTC dual print and inside 14:30 UTC EIA.
The same-second jobs print is a sizing event
Opposing US and Canada surprises can travel 80 pips. 5.44 lots × 80 × 7.35 ≈ $3,200, which is most of a 5% day after one scheduled candle. 2.72 lots at 25 pips is $500 clean, about $1,600 if the same 80-pip bar fills you at the worst print.
If you start free on Venasri, wait until 12:45 UTC after both labor reports. Set Venasri Equity Guard to flatten near 3.0% so EIA at 14:30 UTC cannot spend the rest of the floor on the same oil-linked ticket.
WTI plus USDCAD is one crude view
The Loonie is inverse oil. A long WTI ticket plus a short USDCAD ticket is one energy bet. If USOIL already uses the 0.50% line, USDCAD does not get 2.72 lots on the same thesis.
EURCAD shares the Canadian and oil half. Correlation Guard should cap that stack. 1.3500, 1.3550, and 1.3600 are where EIA and the dual jobs print find those stacked stops.
Size from 1.3550 after 12:45 UTC
Measure the stop beyond the 00 or 50 figure plus 1.5× ATR. If that is 28 pips, 0.50% is 500 / (28 × 7.35) ≈ 2.43 lots. Do not cut to 15 pips to keep 5.44 lots into 12:30 UTC.
Confirm 12:30 to 16:30 UTC, spread under 0.8 pips, and oil agreement on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. Loonie lots sit near EURUSD. The $7.35 pip and the dual print are why they are not the same ticket.
