The gap meets the shield before it meets 4%
A Sunday open that moves the position $1,500 against you is still inside the $4,000 day and already inside the shield band. On a funded account that flatten is a strike, and two or three strikes terminate the account. Traders who hold because "weekend is allowed" are right about the hold and wrong about the size. The hold is legal. A gap larger than the shield is a strike with no click required.
Wednesday triple-swap is smaller and still counts toward the 4% day. It is not waived because the firm allows swings. Leave room under $4,000 for the swap if the position will see Wednesday.
A Friday winner hurts Rapid more than Unlimited
Unlimited's maximum is a static 8%, floor $92,000, and it does not rise because Friday closed green. Elite's static 10% floor stays at $90,000. Rapid trails at 6%. A Friday equity high can leave less than $6,000 for a Sunday gap. The daily base can move too, because midnight uses the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 GMT+2 or GMT+3. A $2,000 float into a snapshot raises the next 4% reference.
You can create a Venasri login and tag the position with the product name before Friday's close. A Rapid hold sized like an Unlimited hold is the mismatch.
Size the hold to the shield, not to the day
If the shield on your account is the 1% end, the weekend position cannot be allowed to float more than $1,000 on $100,000. If it is the 2% end, the number is $2,000. A 0.50% planned stop at $500 fits either end, as one ticket. Two $500 swings held together do not. Equity Guard at 3.25%, $3,250, is the daily backstop. It is behind the shield, not in front of it.
Set both numbers on Equity Guard on Friday. Partial the winner before the snapshot if you do not want Monday's 4% measured off Friday's float. Zero minimum days do not make a weekend hold mandatory. They only mean you are not farming a day count by holding.
The bot may hold, and it may not add
EAs and risk managers are allowed to keep a swing on MT5, Match-Trader, or TradeLocker. They are not allowed to add into a Sunday gap to "get back to breakeven," because that add is how floating loss crosses the shield. News on Monday still has the five-minute funded window unless the add-on is on. A weekend hold does not pre-approve the Monday print.
Bot Control should flatten or reduce before the shield, not after, and should refuse a second lot on Sunday night. The 85% bi-weekly payout assumes the account still exists on Monday. A gap strike spends that assumption.
