The evaluation can sit through the print, and Master should not scalp it
During the evaluation, news is permitted. A planned position with a real stop can be held. What changes on the Master account is bracket scalping into Tier-1 releases: the rapid buy-stop and sell-stop pair that tries to catch CPI, NFP, or FOMC. That pattern is the restricted one. A trader who used it to pass, then leaves it on after the account converts, is trading a rule from the previous stage.
The dollar rule never switched off. A stop that slips is a loss at the slipped price. Bot controls should drop the bracket template when the login becomes Master, even if the evaluation card still has it.
One NQ is $600, and four NQ are $2,400
NQ is $20 a point. Thirty points is $600 on one contract and $2,400 on four. The four-contract version is already through the Option 2 day of $2,200 and through the $3,000 trail if the spike does not snap back inside Option 1's live mark. People add contracts because the evaluation allowed the event. The event being legal is not the same fact as the contract count being small.
Micro Nasdaq is $2 a point, so 30 points on four MNQ is $240. That is a news trade the $2,200 day can survive twice. It is also small enough that an Option 1 trail does not die on the first wick. If you want to be present for the number in the evaluation, be present in micros.
Option 2 debits the day, and Option 1 debits the open equity
Option 2's hard loss is $2,200, and the trail updates from the 4:59 PM CT balance. A news slip that recovers before the mark can spare the trail and still spend the day if $2,200 printed at the low. Option 1 does not wait for 4:59. The open loss moves the intraday trail immediately. A bracket that is briefly $3,000 underwater can end Option 1 even if the official print later returns to unchanged.
Positions are flat by 3:59 PM CT regardless. A late data release is not an extension. If the number is after your flatten, you are already out, which is the correct accident.
Use $1,450 as the Option 2 backstop, not as a reason to attend
Equity Guard near $1,450 on Option 2 ends the day $750 before $2,200. It will catch a slip that runs. It will not turn a Master bracket into a legal scalp. On Option 1, arm the guard on live equity so a $2,400 four-lot spike flattens before the $3,000 trail does. The better fix is to not have the four lots.
Sign up on Venasri with an evaluation card and a Master card. The news pause belongs on the Master card even while you are still in the test, so the morning you pass is not the morning the bracket fires into CPI out of habit.
