A quarter lot is the budget and 0.30 lots is a raise
The 2-step day is 5%, or $500. The static maximum is 10%, or $1,000, so equity at $9,000 ends the evaluation. Half of 1% is $50. At $10 per pip on one standard lot, a quarter lot with a 20-pip stop costs $50. Gold at $10 per 0.10 move needs 0.10 lots on a 50-pip stop for the same $50. Both numbers are round, which is why people trust them and then nudge them.
A nudge to 0.30 lots on FX is $60 a stop. You will not get a long string of clean fills. Spread and one widened gold stop turn a day that looked survivable into a breach. Bot controls can reject the order when computed cash risk is above $50.
Phase 1 cash equals the entire maximum
Phase 1 is $1,000. Phase 2 is $500. Three minimum days apply, and three of them must be profitable by at least half of 1%, which is $50 on this book. One 1R winner books a qualifying day. A scratch does not. At a 2R payoff the $50 unit returns about $100, so Phase 1 is on the order of ten net winners after losers have taken their share.
The 1-step changes the survival numbers without changing the $10,000 label. The day becomes 4%, or $400. The trailing maximum becomes 6%, or $600. A trader who keeps a $500 mental model on a 1-step purchase is through the official day while the monitor still says there is room. Open a Venasri account and store the product on the same line as the balance.
A $400 float is 4% and it will reprice the next day
CTI takes the higher of day-start balance or equity at 00:00 server time. A $400 open gold winner is 4% of this account. If the snapshot uses it, a full giveback is $400 of the next $500 hole before a new trade. Closed balance can still show yesterday as a win. Weekend holds are permitted, so Friday afternoon is the same decision with more hours attached.
On-demand payout opens at 10% closed profit, which is $1,000 here, the same figure as Phase 1 and the maximum loss. Making it does not create spare drawdown. Funded accounts later live with a 2-minute news window. A stop that slips in that window still debits the $500. The 60-second stop clock still applies to every fill.
The flatten belongs at $425
Equity Guard on the 2-step should cut the book near $425 of daily loss, with $75 left before the official $500. On the 1-step put it near $325 against the $400 day. Do not import a $4,250 figure from a $100,000 article. The guard will sit idle while this account is already closed, or it will be aimed at a dollar level this balance does not have.
Index CFDs at $1 per point need 1.00 lot for a 50-point stop to risk $50. That looks like a starter size and it is the whole unit. Two index ideas are often the same US equity bet. Count them as one $50 decision unless the stops truly cannot be hit together.
