One unprotected lot is $100 per dollar of gold
XAUUSD at 1.00 lot pays $100 per $1.00 move, which is $10 per 0.10. A $3 spike against a naked position is $300. At 2.00 lots it is $600. The daily reference on $100,000 is $3,250, so a short burst without a stop is a meaningful slice of the day and a terrible sample for Risk Stability. The same math on a major is calmer: $10 per pip at 1.00 lot, so a 30-pip uncovered move is $300.
Manual Trade Guard exists to close that gap between the click and the protection. Bot controls and the manual path should share one rule: no position remains on the book without a stop distance you already converted into dollars.
Stop, breakeven, and TP1 to TP4 are four separate jobs
The initial stop defines the cash risk. Breakeven moves that stop once the first target pays, so a winner does not become a full loser. TP1 through TP4 scale the position out in slices, for example a quarter of the lot at each level, so one of the four can be a runner. On 1.00 lot of gold each 0.25 lot slice is $2.50 per pip. Forgetting the later slices leaves the whole $10 per pip exposed again.
Do the arithmetic before entry. If the stop is 50 pips and the unit is $500, the lot is 1.00 on gold. The partials then reduce a known number. They do not create permission to start at 2.00 lots because you plan to scale out quickly.
MT5, MT4, and the Interactive Brokers bridge can all send the signal
Darwinex Zero lists those three routes, under institutional DMA standards. A ZeroMQ style connection is one way a desktop app can hear the fill and push the stop back without you retyping it on the phone. Whatever the transport, the public rule is the same: the copied DARWIN is the orders you actually leave in the market. A stop that exists only in your head is not part of the signal.
Keep one platform per strategy. Mixing MT5 partials with an unlinked MT4 position splits the risk the attributes are trying to measure. Start on Venasri and connect the same login you use for the DARWIN so the guard and the bridge watch one equity number.
The cash flatten still sits above the ticket logic
Equity Guard at $2,500 on $100,000 is the session limit. Manual Trade Guard is the ticket limit. You want both. A perfect set of partials on a 2.00 lot idea can still be a $1,000 risk if the stop is 50 pips, and four of those ideas can press the day even when every order looks tidy.
News is allowed, and a market that gaps can skip the stop price. The attached stop is still better than a naked ticket, and the flatten after the reopen limits the next click. The 15% fee is paid on capital that followed a readable process. Four planned partials are readable. An unprotected spike is not.
