Lot band and the stop that makes it real
The working size on $100K is 0.80 standard lots at the low end and 1.45 at the high end. The stop is 50 to 70 pips. A wider stop needs the smaller lot. A 70 pip stop at 1.45 lots is the top of the band, not a starting template. The $10 per pip quote on a 0.10 move is how you translate that lot into cash before you click. If the cash at the stop is above 0.65% of the account, $650 on $100K, the lot is too big even if it is under 1.45.
Create your Venasri login and store 1.45 as a ceiling for this symbol. A second gold ticket is the same idea. Two 0.80 positions are 1.60 lots, already through the cap. One idea, one lot, one stop.
COMEX open and the $5,000 day
The COMEX reopen is where a wick can travel the whole 50 to 70 pip stop in one print. That is why the lot cap exists. On the 2-step path the day is 5%, $5,000. On E8 One the day is 4%, $4,000, and the same 1.45 lot plan was written against the wider day. Cut the lot when the contract is One. A 6% end-of-day trail, $6,000, will not save a 1-step account whose day is already gone.
Daily loss resets at 00:00 from day-start balance plus floating PnL. Gold left open into that print rebases the next day. Equity Guard on a 2-step book flattens at 4.25% if you are using the pass plan, which is $4,250, under the $5,000 line. A gold wick does not wait for you to do that math live.
Weekend gold is a permitted risk
Overnight and weekend holding is allowed on standard CFD evaluations and funded accounts. Sunday's first gold print counts toward the new 5% day, and Wednesday triple-swap counts too. A Friday runner sized at 1.45 lots is a weekend position whether you meant it to be or not. If you want the hold, size it for a gap that can be as large as the 50 to 70 pip stop.
Classic's static floor, 8% to 14%, does not move when gold spikes and comes back, as long as you do not finish the day at a new trailing mark. E8 One does trail at the close. A Friday gold high that you close green can lift Monday's 6% cushion. Know which contract you are on before you hold.
News and the partials
Evaluation steps allow news. Funded accounts restrict opening and closing during the five minutes before and after a high-impact release. Gold is the symbol that moves hardest in that window. A stop already on the ticket can fill, and the loss counts. A new lot clicked in the window is a separate problem.
Manual Trade Guard should put the 50 to 70 pip stop on at the fill and scale 4 partials so one runner is not the whole 1.45 lots into the close. Bot Control pauses new funded gold entries in the news window. The order pace stays inside a normal anti-spam policy. Personal risk managers are allowed. HFT and public copy-trading are not. The $488 fee is wasted if the first COMEX wick is an unstopped 1.45.
