Failing at 200 trades with a green balance
The rule is 200 executed trades or 2,000 modifications in the trading day. A tick trail on NAS100 or gold can print modifications while the closed balance is positive. The breach email does not require a red day. The bot should count modifications and stop trailing when the count gets crowded, instead of discovering 2,000 after the session.
The cap is easiest to hit on MT4 and MT5 EAs when the EA option is active. The same firm also allows cTrader and Match-Trader. One identical strategy still stops at $300,000. A profitable cluster of accounts can breach the allocation cap without any one account breaching 5%.
The equity check at 00:00
Daily loss is anchored from day-start balance, with an equity check at rollover. The clock is 00:00 server time, GMT+2 or GMT+3. A green float at that stamp changes the base the next 5% uses. You can be inside 200 trades, inside the static 10% floor, and still donate the next morning to a float you refused to bank. Equity Guard has to see equity, not only closed balance.
Weekend holds are allowed, so Friday's float is often the one that meets the stamp. Sunday's gap then spends the new day. The hold was legal. The loss still counts. On $100,000 the 2-Step day is $5,000. 1-Step's day is 3%.
The 10% floor is the obvious line
Traders watch the static 10% on 2-Step, the static 6% on 1-Step, and the static 8% on Lite. Those floors are real. They are not the usual surprise. The surprise is an activity cap or a rollover base while the floor chart still looks fine. The $549 fee on $100,000 does not buy a manual review that ignores 200 trades.
News in the challenge is allowed. On a funded account the 5-minute window can restrict a trade that your trail just modified. A modification inside that window can be both an activity event and a news event. Create a Venasri account and separate challenge news settings from funded ones.
A green week does not reset the counters
Challenge-phase profits can pay a 15% share, and the split later runs 80% to 95%. None of that pays if the account already failed the cap. The first payout timing, 21 days or 5 days, never starts. Five minimum trading days do not include a day that breached at trade 200.
There is no CFD consistency score to blame. The account can have a smooth curve and still be in breach. Futures books add a 40% score, which is a further way to fail while the cash floor looks healthy. Read the book you are on before you explain the email to yourself as a drawdown.
