0.80 to 1.45 lots on $100,000
The published gold cap on a $100,000 challenge is 0.80 to 1.45 standard lots. The contract reference in this plan is $10 per pip on a 0.10 move. The structural stop is 50 to 70 pips. Together those figures are the whole gold sizing rule. A lot above 1.45 is outside the plan even if you feel the stop is tight. Equity Guard still sees the 5% day, which is $5,000.
1-Step daily loss is 3%. The same 1.45 lot and the same 70 pip stop are aimed at a smaller day. If you trade gold on 1-Step, the lot cap in the plan was written next to a 5% story. Treat 1.45 as a ceiling you may need to sit under, not as a target you must fill.
Why the stop is 50 to 70 pips
The COMEX open is where a wick can jump a short stop and turn a planned gold loss into the daily line. The 50 to 70 pip stop is the structure this plan uses so that wick is inside the stop rather than beyond a 10 pip scratch. Weekend holding is allowed, so a Friday gold ticket can gap on Sunday into the same 5% day.
Wednesday triple-swap also counts. Gold swings are where swap and gap stack. Manual Trade Guard should put the 50 to 70 pip stop on at the fill, then breakeven and TP1 to TP4 only if those partials do not push you through 200 trades or 2,000 modifications.
Gold profit does not move the 10% floor
Stellar 2-Step maximum loss is a static 10%, $10,000 on $100,000. A gold winner does not drag that floor up. The daily line still resets at 00:00 with an equity check. A gold position that is largely in profit at midnight raises the next base, and a giveback spends the new day. Open a Venasri account and decide before the session whether that float should be banked.
Lite's maximum is a static 8%. 1-Step's is a static 6%. The 0.80 to 1.45 band is quoted for a $100,000 challenge in the plan. It is not a band you scale up because Lite and 2-Step share a symbol. Five minimum trading days still apply.
Funded gold and the 5-minute window
Challenge phases allow news, which includes the gold move on CPI or a similar release. Funded accounts have a 5-minute window around high-impact news unless an add-on covers it. A gold strategy that only works inside that window is a challenge strategy, not yet a funded one.
The $100,000 fee is $549. The first payout is 21 days, or 5 days on Stellar 1-Step. Neither date changes the lot cap. Consistency is not scored on Stellar CFD gold. It is scored at 40% on selected futures challenges, which is a different book from this XAUUSD plan.
