The funded window is two minutes on each side of the print
Funded accounts are restricted in a 2-minute window before and after high-impact news. That is a short band, and it is long enough for gold and the Nasdaq to travel a planned stop. The evaluation is not described with the same funded restriction, which is how people pass a challenge holding CPI and then lose the funded account on the next one. Read the stage you are actually on.
Classic daily loss on $100,000 is $5,000. One Phase is $4,000. A 1.00 lot gold position is $10 per 0.10. A 70-pip slip past a 50-pip stop is an extra $200. At 1.45 lots that extra is $290, and a much wider air pocket can be several times that. The window does not cap the slip. It only tells you not to be the person sending fresh orders into it. Bot controls should be flat or already protected before the band starts, not clicking during it.
A protective stop can still spend the daily budget
If the stop was on the ticket before the print, you have obeyed the stop rule. If price gaps through it, the worse fill still counts against the 5% or 4% day. On $100,000, three gold ideas at $500 of planned risk are $1,500. If each fills $300 worse, the morning is $2,400, almost half a Classic day, from trades that looked sized. The breach report will show dollars, not your original stop price.
That is why the lot cap matters more on news days than on a quiet Tuesday. A 50-to-70 pip structural stop at 0.80 to 1.45 lots keeps a normal gold idea inside a fraction of the $5,000 line. It does not make a 300-pip air pocket cheap. Cut size again when the calendar says CPI, NFP, or a rate decision, or stand aside. Sign up on Venasri and put the release on the same card as the lot, not in a separate notebook you forget at 8:28.
The release and the FunderPro midnight are not the same clock
Most US red-folder prints hit at 8:30 New York, which is 12:30 UTC during daylight time. FunderPro's day rolls at 00:00 server time, UTC+2 or UTC+3. The print therefore lands inside an already-open daily budget, not at the reset. If you are $1,800 down from London before the number, you do not have a fresh $5,000 for the spike. You have what is left.
The anchor includes floating equity. A winner held into midnight raises the next reference, and the news slip the next afternoon spends that richer day. Flatten day-trade leftovers before 00:00. Swing holds belong on the Swing variant, and a swing lot that is still open into CPI is a weekend-sized decision even on a Wednesday. The 45% consistency score on Fast Track and on daily payout requests will also notice a single news jackpot. A giant green fill can stall a payout the same week a giant red fill would have breached the day.
Arm the flatten before the band, not inside it
Equity Guard on Classic should flatten near $4,250 on $100,000. On One Phase use about $3,250. If the guard waits until the print to fire, the close can land inside the 2-minute window and the fill can be far worse than $4,250. Move the threshold earlier on news days, or be flat before the window with the profit already booked. A resting stop placed well before the release is cleaner than a market flatten sent as the number hits.
Mandatory stops on funded positions do not pause for the calendar. The request cap of 2,000 a day also does not pause. A panic trail that modifies every tick through the print can fail the request rule and the slippage rule in the same minute. One planned stop, one planned size, and a book that is done for the session if that stop fills. That is the whole news plan.
