One shared day, two different floors
Write the $100K comparison in cash. Both: daily loss $4,000, reset at 00:00 UTC+2 or UTC+3 from the higher of balance or equity. 1-Step: maximum loss $6,000, end-of-day trailing. 2-Step flagship: maximum loss $8,000, static, with a path that can be bought out to a static $10,000. 2-Step targets: $8,000 then $5,000. Minimum trading days: 3. Fee on $100K: $398. Pay-Later, where it is offered, does not change those floors.
A trader who picks the 1-Step to "skip Phase 2" has traded the $5,000 second target for a floor that walks up after every strong close. Start a Venasri account and save both cards. If you cannot say which floor is on the login you are about to click, you are not ready to choose.
Who gets hurt by the end-of-day trail
The 1-Step trail marks the close, not every intraday spike. You can be up $2,000 at noon and give back $1,200 before the bell without stepping the 6% floor, as long as the closed balance is what the trail reads. The next morning is the bill. Close at $104,000 and the 6% trail is measured from that higher closed equity, not from $100,000. The 2-Step static floor stays at $92,000 on the flagship even if you close at $104,000. Tomorrow's daily hole still rebases. The lifetime floor does not.
Swing traders who bank a large Friday and then hold a reduced clip are often better on the static 2-Step, because the green close does not tighten the maximum. Traders who want one phase and can stop after a green day, rather than pressing the new trail, can live on the 1-Step. Equity Guard at $3,250 fits both, because the daily line matches. The trail lock does not. Add it only on the 1-Step inside Equity Guard.
Targets, payout days, and the fat session
The 2-Step publishes the 8% and 5% targets. Sixteen winners of $500 reach the first $8,000. The 1-Step comparison is defined by the tighter trailing floor, not by a second phase. Both still need 3 trading days. The on-demand payout, after you are funded, wants three days of at least 0.5%, $500, and then goes bi-weekly at 80%, or up to 95% with the add-on. Instant and Triple Payday add the 35% to 40% single-day cap on top of whichever exam you passed.
A $3,200 day is legal against the $4,000 daily line on either step and illegal as a 40% slice of an $8,000 cycle. Passing faster on the 1-Step does not waive that payout score if you land on Instant or On-Demand. Public pass-bots are banned on both. The 2,000 request cap is also both. Do not pick a step because an EA advertisement claimed that step is "bot friendly."
A simple way to decide
If your method closes large winners and then keeps trading the next morning, buy the static 2-Step and respect the extra $5,000 phase. If you can stop for the day when the closed balance has stepped up, and you want one exam, the 1-Step's $6,000 end-of-day trail is the product you are actually able to hold. Bot Control should load the matching profile before the fee is spent, including a news pause for the funded 2-minute window.
Either way the working ticket on $100K stays between $350 and $650. A 0.80 gold lot with a 50-pip stop is about $4,000 and ends the shared daily line on both products. The step you picked will not save that click. The $398 is the cheap part. The floor you did not read is the expensive part.
