An $8,000 target in $500 pieces
Phase 1 on the flagship 2-Step is 8%, $8,000. Phase 2 is 5%, $5,000. At 0.50% the unit is $500, which sits inside the 0.35% to 0.65% band of $350 to $650. Sixteen 1R winners equal $8,000. Ten trades reach it only if they average $800, so leave the risk at $500 and let the payoff do the extra work. The account also needs 3 trading days. A one-session $8,000 is not a pass even if the daily line survived, because the day count is short.
Those three days are not the same test as the payout test. On-demand payouts later want three days of at least 0.5%, also $500, and then bi-weekly withdrawals at 80%, or 95% with the add-on. Open a Venasri account and track the evaluation day count separately from the payout day count so you do not stop at three tiny days with the $8,000 unfinished.
Flatten at $3,250 on either step
Because both steps use a 4% daily loss, the same Equity Guard dollar works on day one: $3,250, which is 3.25% and $750 early. The midnight base is the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 UTC+2 or UTC+3. A +$1,500 float makes the next 4% start from $101,500. Move the guard with that base or partial the float. On the 1-Step, also watch the 6% trail after the close. On the 2-Step, the static floor stays $92,000 on the flagship, or $90,000 if you bought the 10% static path.
Set the flatten on Equity Guard before the Pay-Later account is live, not after the first gold add. A 0.80 lot with a 50-pip stop is about $4,000 at $80 per pip. That is the whole day in one ticket and it does not matter which step you paid for.
Do not buy the pass with a single day
Instant and On-Demand tiers delay payout when one trade is more than 40% of cycle profit. A $3,400 gold day is 42.5% of an $8,000 target. It can be inside the $4,000 daily line and still be the reason the first withdrawal waits. Build the target from days that could also qualify as $500 payout days, then add more of them. Three $500 days are only $1,500. You still need the rest.
Personal risk EAs are allowed. Public pass-bots and HFT are not. If more than half the profit comes from tick scalps shorter than two minutes, the mix can fail the account. Stay under 2,000 server requests a day. A trail that edits every tick spends that budget and can leave a $500 idea unmanaged into the $4,000 line. Funded news profit inside the 2-minute window can be excluded without the add-on, while the loss counts.
The pass is the boring sequence
Bot Control should cap risk at $500, pause the funded news window, and stop new tickets once the day is down $1,500, which is three planned losses. Weekend holds are allowed under standard margin limits. If you hold, cut the lot so a Sunday gap is not the $4,000. The static 8% floor is exactly one Phase 1 target away from the start, on the other side. You do not have a spare full loss hidden in the maximum.
Phase 2 is another $5,000 under the same $4,000 day. Do not resize because the first target is done. The $398, or the Pay-Later obligation, is paid again only if this sequence breaks. Sixteen clean winners, three real trading days, and a flatten at $3,250 are the whole Goat pass on $100K.
