Seven stops is a 2-step sentence
At 0.65 percent the unit is $650. Seven losses are $4,550, with $450 left in a $5,000 day. The eighth loss is $5,200 and through the line. At 0.50 percent the unit is $500 and ten losses equal the day exactly. At 0.35 percent the unit is $350 and fourteen losses are $4,900. The phrase people remember is seven stops. It describes the aggressive end of a 5 percent day. It does not describe the 1-step day.
The 1-step day is $3,000. Four losses at $650 are $2,600. Five are $3,250, already over. Eight losses at $350 are $2,800, near the line. If you imported a 2-step stop count onto a 1-step purchase, the fifth aggressive loss is the breach you thought was still two trades away. Open a Venasri account and store the day in dollars beside the unit.
Convert $500 only after the stop distance exists
The middle of the band is $500. A 20-pip FX stop at $10 a pip needs 2.50 lots. A 50-pip gold stop needs 1.00 lot. A 70-pip gold stop at that same 1.00 lot is $700, which is outside the band. The published gold ceiling of 1.45 lots at 70 pips is $1,015, a different and larger idea than this risk plan. Use the band for the daily-survival math, and use 1.45 only as a hard cap that you should rarely touch.
Nasdaq at $1 a point needs 5.0 lots for a 100-point stop to risk $500, or about 8.3 lots for a 60-point stop. A 100-point stop on 10 lots is $1,000, twice the middle rung. Bot controls should compute cash from distance and reject the order when it leaves the rung you selected for the week.
After plus 5 percent the maximum is no longer $10,000 of room
Ten losses at $500 are the 2-step day, and they are also the original 10 percent maximum if they are spread across days and nothing is won in between. The lock interrupts that story. Once the account is up $5,000, the floor is $95,000, not $90,000. You no longer have $10,000 of lifetime room under the start. You have $5,000 under the start, plus whatever open profit sits above $105,000 until you give it back. The per-trade band does not automatically shrink, and it should. A $650 unit that was fine against a $10,000 floor is a larger share of the locked floor.
The 40 percent Instant-account score is the green constraint. A 2R winner at $650 is $1,300. Three of them are $3,900, almost 40 percent of a $10,000 cycle. The loss band and the profit share have to be set together. A unit that survives seven red outcomes can still build an illegal green day in three outcomes.
Do not plan to use the seventh stop
Fills will be worse than the worksheet. Set Equity Guard at $4,250 on the 2-step book so you are out before the seventh $650 stop, with $750 of the day unused. On the 1-step book set it near $2,250, because $4,250 is already past $3,000. The guard percentage is 0.75 under the day you actually have. Copying 4.25 onto a 3 percent day is a late flatten.
The request cap of 2,000 a day is irrelevant to this math until a grid tries to average the loser, which is banned anyway. One clean stop per idea keeps both the dollar count and the message count boring. Be done for the session when the guard fires. The 14-day payout does not require you to earn the loss back before 00:00.
