The one-day pass dies on the opening candle
Expert has a 6% target, $6,000 on $100,000, a one-day minimum, and no 40% profit share. Starter is the plan with the 40% share and 5 winning days. Traders buy Expert specifically so Monday can be the whole evaluation. The trail they are spending is still $3,000, marked from end-of-day equity, and there is no separate intraday daily loss limit to slow the click.
One E-mini Nasdaq is $20 a point. A 150-point slide against one contract is the entire $3,000. Two contracts need only 75 points. The opening drive on Nasdaq regularly covers that distance while the first minute is still printing. Passing in one day and sizing for one candle are different decisions. The first is allowed. The second spends the trail before the target has a chance.
The rollover that matters is 4:10 PM ET
Traders who learned FX evaluations flatten at 00:00 server time and think the futures day works the same way. On this desk the drawdown snapshot is 4:10 PM ET, and the Globex rollover sits near 5:00 PM ET. A position nursed until midnight has already lived through the mark that can ratchet the trail. Closed profit booked after that mark belongs to the next calculation, not to the day you thought you were saving.
The weekend rule is narrower than a daily curfew: futures have to be flat before the Friday afternoon CME close. A Thursday evening hold is a different question from a Friday hold, and the dashboard at 4:10 PM ET is the one that counts. Automation controls should refuse new contracts in the first minutes of the cash open, when the one-day plan is most tempted to use the maximum size.
Maximum contracts and micro contracts are not the same bet
Micro Nasdaq is $2 a point. The $3,000 trail can absorb 1,500 points on one micro, or 150 points on ten micros. Ten micros are the same dollar risk as one E-mini. The platform will let you add them because the margin looks small. The trail does not grade margin. It grades dollars against $3,000 on $100,000, $4,500 on $150,000, and the $1,500 to $2,000 band on $50,000.
A stop that sits 40 points away on four E-minis is $3,200, already through the $100,000 trail before slippage. The same 40 points on four micros is $320, about a tenth of the trail. If the goal is really to finish Expert today, the contract count still has to survive a normal open. The $6,000 target does not require the account to be risked in one print.
Put the cash stop in before 9:30 AM ET
Equity Guard on $100,000 should flatten near $2,250, which is $750 inside the $3,000 trail. That flatten has to be live before the cash open. A guard that arms at lunch is a diary, not a limit, because the opening candle is the usual place this account ends. On $50,000, arm about $1,125 until you know whether the contract says $1,500 or $2,000.
The listed $100,000 fee is $150. It is not a reason to double size. Create a Venasri login and tie the flatten to the 4:10 PM ET mark, not to midnight on the laptop. A trail that locks at the starting balance plus $100, or $100,100 on this account, can also step up after a winner. The hidden loss is often a giveback from that new floor, not a fresh hole under $97,000.
