Expert has no daily loss limit, Starter has 40% consistency
MFFU (Seacrest / Dallas) offers Starter and Expert at $50K, $100K, $150K. EOD trailing drawdown: about $1,500 to $2,000 on $50K, $3,000 on $100K, $4,500 on $150K, locking at starting balance + $100. Expert: no daily loss limit, zero consistency, one minimum day, pass in a single session if the 6% target prints inside the EOD trail. Starter: 40% consistency, 5 winning days for payouts, more funded news restriction. Reset 4:10 PM ET / 5:00 PM ET Globex rollover. Must close before Friday CME close. Platforms: Tradovate, NinjaTrader, TradingView, Quantower. $100K fee $150. Split 100% of first $10,000, then 90%. Expert pays every 14 days. EAs allowed inside CME message limits.
Primary trap: attempting to pass Expert in 1 day with max contracts and hitting the 3% ($3,000 on $100K) EOD max on the opening NY candle. If you start a free Venasri account, label the login Expert-no-daily versus Starter-40 so you do not import a 2% Topstep daily habit onto Expert (harmless) or import Expert size onto Starter (fatal to 40%).
One-day pass is a feature that eats accounts
6% of $100K is $6,000. EOD trail is $3,000. A 12-micro NQ swing that goes 50 points your way is a pass. The same swing 25 points against you is close to a fail if you are oversized. Expert legally allows that shape. It does not print you a new daily 2% warning like TopstepX. The first warning may be the EOD $3,000 email. Trade Expert like you still had a 1.5% personal daily if you want the 14-day payout cycle more than a viral pass screenshot.
Starter's 40% cap on a $6,000 target is a $2,400 max day before extra homework. That is closer to Topstep 50% than to Expert zero. Funded Starter/Sim-Funded also add Tier-1 news restrictions that Expert evaluation did not train you for. Passing Expert in one news candle then dying on funded news is a known path.
EOD trail, not Apex ticks, not Topstep 3:10 CT
MFFU trail is end-of-day, like Topstep, with a Dallas/ET clock (4:10 PM ET flatten region, 5:00 PM ET session) rather than 3:10 PM CT. Intraday +$2,500 that you give back to +$400 before the ET close does not crawl the trail. Closing +$2,500 does. Apex traders who switch to MFFU Expert often over-flatten spikes they could have held until 4:00 ET. Topstep traders who switch may flatten at 3:10 CT and miss the last Chicago hour that MFFU still allows.
Weekend: Friday close, no Sunday hold overnight into Monday as a gap gift. CME message limits still apply to bots. 100% of first $10,000 then 90% is Topstep-like, not Apex's $25,000. Do not expect 20 PAs. This is a Starter-versus-Expert product, not an Apex clone with a friendlier trail.
Personal daily on Expert, 40% cap on Starter
Expert: impose your own daily flatten via Venasri Equity Guard near $2,000 to $2,400 on $100K even though MFFU will not, plus an EOD trail-aware cap so you do not close a day that moves the $3,000 floor into a tight +$100 lock you cannot live with. Starter: add a $2,200 green cap so 40% of $6,000 never prints. Flatten 16:05 ET, not 15:10 CT.
24/7 MT5 Bot Control should stay off this futures login unless you have a CME-legal, attended assistant. Use the ZeroMQ MT5 Bridge for a side FX book. Expert's one-day pass is optional. Taking it at full size is how $150 fees become a subscription to the same candle.
