Seven stops is a $350 story
Seven times $350 is $2,450, with $550 left under a $3,000 trail. Seven times $650 is $4,550, which is a 5% FX day and a dead futures account. Four times $650 is $2,600. The fifth is the breach. If you want a bad morning to be survivable, risk about $350 to $400. Half of 1% is $500, and six of those are $3,000 exactly, with nothing left for slippage. $500 is the top of what a $3,000 trail can call a unit, not the middle.
On a $50,000 plan with a $2,000 trail, even $350 is a lot: five losses are $1,750. On $150,000 the trail is $4,500, and $500 has more company. Bot controls should load the trail width in dollars before they load a contract count.
The same $400 is a different number of micros
NQ is $20 per point, so a 20-point stop on one contract is $400. That stop is tight for the cash open and will get run. MNQ is $2 per point, so a 40-point stop on five micros is $400, and you can actually place the stop behind structure. ES is $50 per point. An 8-point stop on one ES is $400, which is a small distance. MES at $5 per point needs ten micros for the same 8-point idea, or fewer micros with a wider stop.
YM is $5 per point. A 80-point stop on one YM is $400. MYM is $0.50 per point, so the same stop wants about ten micros. Create a Venasri login and store point value next to the symbol. A bot that says lots will mis-size every one of these.
NQ and ES at the open are one equity bet
A $400 Nasdaq idea and a $400 S&P idea in the same direction are $800. Two of those clusters are most of the trail. Take one index. Gold beside the index is not a hedge just because the symbol changed. On an Expert one-day attempt, stacking the maximum contracts across NQ and ES is how the opening candle prints $3,000 while each ticket looked inside a personal limit.
Starter will also score the day that finally works. A 5R outcome on a $500 idea is $2,500, already above 40% of a $6,000 target. The safe loss-line size can be the illegal profit-share size. Know which plan you are on.
Do not wait for the eighth loser
Equity Guard should flatten near $2,250 on $100,000, before the $350 math is asked to be perfect. Slippage on one NQ is $20 a point. A stop that slips 10 points on two contracts is another $400. The buffer under $3,000 exists for that. On the $2,000 trail, flatten much sooner, near $1,500 or below.
The session mark around 4:10 PM ET or 5:00 PM ET is when the trail is judged. A loser you refuse to close because it might come back is still in the mark. Flat is cheaper than hope. Friday is flat regardless of the open profit.
