The opening sweep is not your entry candle
The cash equity open at 9:30 AM ET, 13:30 UTC, regularly runs both sides of the pre-market range in the first minutes. A 60 to 100 point stop placed inside that candle is a donation, and on NQ a 80-point donation is $1,600 per contract. Let the whip print. Then put the stop behind the sweep, not inside it. If the real structure is 100 points, one NQ is $2,000 and you should be in micros.
Five MNQ with an 80-point stop cost $800, because $2 times 80 times 5 is $800. That is still a large idea and it is survivable next to $3,000. Bot controls should block a fresh NQ entry during the opening minute and should display dollars, not just contracts.
YM is $5 a point, which surprises CFD scalpers
A 100-point stop on one YM is $500. On MYM it is $50, so ten micros match one e-mini. Traders coming from a $1-per-point US30 CFD will buy one YM and think they bought one lot. They bought five times the point value. Two indices in the same direction are one bet. An $800 Nasdaq micro basket plus a $500 YM contract is $1,300, nearly half the trail, on a single equity view.
Take one. If you take both, cut each until the sum is the unit you wrote down, about $350 to $400 if you want several losses to fit. Sign up on Venasri with a single New York equity cap, not a cap per symbol.
Scalping dies on message count and on funded Tier-1 rules
Automation is allowed inside CME Globex messaging limits. A scalp that cancels and replaces through the entire open can fail that limit while the trade is green. One planned stop and one or two partials are enough. Evaluation accounts may trade news. Funded Starter and sim-funded tiers restrict Tier-1 releases. An 8:30 AM ET CPI print plus a 9:30 AM ET scalp is how both rules get tested in the same hour.
Expert can try to make $6,000 in one day. Doing it by scalping full NQ through the whip is the trail-breach described in every post-mortem. The target is 6%. The trail is 3% of the $100,000 account, in end-of-day dollars. You cannot spend the trail to reach the target.
Arm $2,250 before 9:30, and be flat on Friday
Equity Guard should already be near $2,250 on $100,000 before the cash bell. An extra 20 points of slip on one NQ is $400. On two contracts it is $800, which consumes the buffer under $3,000 by itself. The guard has to be live. It cannot be typed during the candle you were not supposed to trade.
The end-of-day mark around 4:10 PM ET or 5:00 PM ET judges whatever is still open. Friday requires zero contracts before the CME close. A runner from the cash open is not a swing on this firm. Starter will also dislike one opening drive that clears 40% of the $6,000 target, which is $2,400, or 120 NQ points on a single e-mini. Book the micro. Leave the hero open to someone else's account.
