The lot ceiling and the stop distance are one number
A 50-pip stop at 0.80 lots is $400. The same distance at 1.45 lots is $725. Stretch 1.45 lots to 70 pips and the risk is about $1,015, a fifth of the fixed day. The everyday band that allows seven mistakes is $350 to $650, so 1.45 lots is only compatible with a shorter stop. A 60-pip idea near $500 wants about 0.83 lots, not the top of the published ceiling.
People sit at 1.45 lots because a gold note mentioned the number, then use a wide structural stop because gold is gold. That is two permissions added together. Bot controls should multiply them and reject the order. The challenge will not reject it until the fixed $5,000 is gone, which is a late review.
A $35 range is the whole day if the stop is not there
A $35 gold move is about 350 pips. At 1.45 lots that is roughly $5,075, the entire fixed day on $100,000, if you wear the range. The 50-to-70 pip stop is the only reason the range is not your loss. A COMEX wick through the stop still counts, and it counts immediately, including when it happens inside a news print you were not allowed to click during. The band on either side of high-impact news bars new opens and closes. It does not forgive the fill.
Because the allowance is fixed to the starting balance, a $2,000 gold winner in London does not make a $1,015 afternoon idea smaller as a percentage of what you may still lose. The loss line did not move up with the profit. Create a Venasri login and keep the gold cap in dollars, then let the lot fall out of whatever stop the session actually requires.
You may hold gold through Sunday, which makes the gap a sizing choice
Weekend holding is allowed. A 100-pip reopen on 1.00 lot is $1,000, and on 1.45 lots it is $1,450. That is legal if you meant it. It is also 20% to 30% of the new day's fixed $5,000, spent at 17:00 New York before you have seen a Monday candle. The reset and the FX reopen are the same hour. The gap is the first trade of the day.
Wednesday swap on a large gold hold is part of the same decision. It debits the daily bucket that is open. A challenge floor that is still static at $90,000 will not be what the gap hits first. The day will. After you are funded, a gold high that you held can also lift the trailing 10% on the Signal Provider account. A runner is not free just because the firm lets it stay open.
Leave a pocket under $5,000 for the wick you cannot model
Equity Guard should flatten the $100,000 challenge near $4,250. That $750 is the gold pocket. If you are already down $2,500 and still in 1.45 lots into the COMEX open or into CPI, the lot is wrong and the session should already be over. On a $500,000 challenge the same percents are five times the dollars, a $25,000 day and a unit near $2,500, not five careless copies of a 1.45 lot habit.
Phase 1 needs $8,000 and Phase 2 needs $5,000. A single $2,000 gold day is a quarter of Phase 1 and is legal, because Classic has no consistency score. It is also the size of day that teaches the wrong lesson. Keep gold inside the cash band, keep the stop on the server before the news band, and let a good gold trade remain one trade. The fixed day is the strategy. The metal is just where it gets tested.
