0.25 lots is the budget and 0.30 lots is a different plan
Multi-step daily loss is 5%, which is $500 on $10,000. The static maximum is 10%, which is $1,000, so equity at $9,000 ends the evaluation. The 0.50% unit is $50. At $10 per pip on 1.00 lot, 0.25 lots with a 20-pip stop cost $50 exactly. Gold needs 0.10 lots on a 50-pip stop to risk that same $50. Both numbers are round, which is why people trust them and then nudge them.
A nudge to 0.30 FX lots is $60 a stop. The platform will not warn you. Spread and a widened gold stop turn a string of honest losers into the $500 print. Stay on $50. Bot controls can reject the order when computed cash risk is above $50, which is a better argument than remembering the lot at the London open. The order still needs a stop attached or the firm scores a violation before the cash risk matters.
Phase 1 is $800, and half of that is $400
Phase 1 is 8%, or $800. The next phase is 5%, or $500. Four minimum trading days apply. At a 2R payoff the $50 unit returns about $100, so the first target is on the order of eight net winners after losers have taken their share. Spending the $500 day on purpose, twice, would also equal the entire maximum. That path passes nothing.
The 50% single-trade cap on multi-step plans makes $400 the most one ticket should contribute toward the $800 phase. A 0.40 lot gold position with a long runner can print that share before New York is finished. Gold 1-step changes the survival numbers without changing the $10,000 label: the day becomes $400 and the trailing maximum becomes $600. Write the product on the same line as the balance.
A $400 float is 4% and it will reprice the next CET day
RebelsFunding takes day-start balance and equity at 00:00 CET. On this account a $400 open gold winner is 4% of the book. If the snapshot uses it, a full giveback is $400 of the next $500 hole before you have placed a new trade. Closed balance can still show yesterday as a win. Partial anything that large before the clock.
Weekend holding is only on selected tiers, so Friday afternoon is a program question and a risk question. Funded accounts also pick up a two-minute news window. A stop that slips in that window still debits the $500. A tight chart on RF-Trader is a display, not a gap guarantee. Open a Venasri account and store the CET flatten separately from your local alarm.
The flatten belongs at $425
Equity Guard on the 5% book should cut the account near $425 of daily loss, with $75 left before the official $500. On Gold 1-step put it near $325 against the $400 day. Do not import a $4,250 figure from a $100,000 article. The guard will sit idle while this account is already closed.
Four minimum days mean you do not need a $400 session to look serious. You need four sessions that could have lost $50 and did not lose $500. If a single winner approaches $400, stop for the day. The contribution cap and the daily loss line are different tests, and this balance is small enough that one gold habit can fail either of them.
