+7.6% of 8% is a scaler problem, not a size problem
The detector is erratic lot sizing when equity sits within 1% of passing Phase 1 or Phase 2: either 0.05-lot fear scratches or 3x oversizing to 'just get the last 0.4%.' Outcome fixation replaces process. On FundingPips Standard the daily is still $5,000. Risking $1,500 to collect $400 is 3.75x the remaining target. One loser does not only miss the pass. It can start a revenge window that finishes the daily cap.
Phase 2 is a 5% target. Proximity choking there happens at +$4,600 to +$5,000, with less total room than Phase 1. 2-Step Pro's 6% max makes a proximity oversize fatal even without a full $5,000 daily print. 1-Step daily is 4%. Treat remaining distance as the risk cap, not the official daily.
Dynamic scale-down on the FundingPips login
Venasri Risk Manager shrinks position risk as you approach the configured phase target. Pair that with a tighter Equity Guard daily lock so you cannot give back a nearly completed evaluation in one session. start free on Venasri and set the Phase 1 target to 8% and Phase 2 to 5% on this firm, not to a generic 10% FTMO preset. The scaler only works if the number matches FundingPips.
Flatten inside 4.25%, then wait for UTC+3 if needed
If you are floating +$3,500 on the last ticket at 23:40 UTC+3, bank it. FundingPips recasts daily from the higher of balance or equity at midnight. An unbanked proximity winner can raise tomorrow's floor, which is how a pass attempt becomes a midnight trap instead of a closed 8%.
On-Demand 45% consistency at the finish line
If you chose On-Demand 90% or Zero Instant, a last-day 3x oversize that finally prints the target can also become more than 45% of cycle profit and stall the reward. Finish with the same 0.25%-0.50% tickets that built the curve. Tuesday Payday at 60% does not require a hero trade either.
