The identity: BestDay / TotalProfit versus 30%, 40%, 45%, 50%
Let B be the largest closed-profit calendar day and T the sum of all closed profits in the payout window. The rule is violated when B / T > C, where C is 0.30, 0.40, 0.45, or 0.50. Rearranged, you are blocked until T >= B / C. Extra profit required is (B / C) - T. FundedNext example: B = $4,800, T = $9,200, C = 0.40. Threshold T-star = $4,800 / 0.40 = $12,000. You still need $2,800 of additional closed profit, and none of those days may exceed $4,800 or the numerator jumps again.
Apex / TradeDay at 30% is harsher: the same $4,800 day requires T-star = $16,000, so $6,800 more. Topstep at 50% would already pass ($4,800 / $9,200 = 52.2% still fails 50% by $400: T-star = $9,600). Always switch the ceiling dropdown before you celebrate a trend day.
How a 3.8R gold runner becomes a payout delay
A $100,000 FundedNext book, 0.50% risk ($500), 3.8R XAUUSD runner: closed profit $1,900. Harmless in isolation. Stack four such runners on the same New York session (news spike plus trend continuation) and B = $7,600. If the rest of the week is two +$600 days, T = $8,800 and B/T = 86%. T-star at 40% is $19,000. You now owe $10,200 of grind with a hard cap that no later day may print above $7,600. That is why Venasri Risk Management & Equity Guard scales recommended risk down after a +2% session: it protects the consistency ratio, not only the daily floor.
Topstep 50% Combined accounts use a similar ratio on trailing-drawdown books. A $3,000 NQ day on a $50,000 Combine with $5,400 total profit is 55.6% and fails until T reaches $6,000. The calculator shows both the ratio and the dollar gap so you stop guessing.
A daily profit cap that keeps BestDay honest
If your payout ceiling is 40% and you want a $10,000 cycle, the largest permissible day is 0.40 x $10,000 = $4,000. Set a Fund Manager daily lock at +$3,600 (90% of that cap) so a London trend cannot silently print $6,000. On a 30% Apex book targeting $8,000, BestDay must stay at or below $2,400; lock at +$2,150. 24/7 MT5 Bot Control can flatten remaining runners at that dollar print while leaving the consistency numerator intact.
Do not flatten by widening stops or hedging: those tactics often trip Martingale and news rules. Bank TP1 (for example 40% at 1.5R), trail the rest, and accept that a 4R leftover may be cut at the daily dollar lock. Consistency math values many +0.8R days over one lottery ticket.
Journal the ratio every Friday before you request payout
Venasri Performance Analytics already stores closed PnL by server date. Export BestDay and T, feed this calculator, and only then open the prop dashboard payout form. If the gap is under $1,000, trade 0.25% risk for three sessions of +0.6R to +1.0R instead of hunting a headline CPI candle. start free on Venasri so Equity Guard still blocks a 5% daily breach while you manufacture the missing denominator.
Read the challenge pass probability calculator next if you are still in Phase 1: passing 8% with one 5% day can satisfy profit and still fail a 40% consistency screen on funded payout number one.
