Breakeven win rate at 1.5R, 2R, 3R, and after $7 commissions
W_be = 1 / (1 + R). At R = 1.50, W_be = 40.0%. At R = 2.00, 33.3%. At R = 2.20, 31.3%. At R = 3.00, 25.0%. After costs, replace R with R_net = (TargetDollars - Commission - SpreadCost) / RiskDollars. EURUSD 2.00 lot round trip at $7 commission plus 0.6 pip spread ($12) on a $500 risk ticket consumes $19, or 0.038R. R = 2.20 becomes 2.162, W_be rises from 31.3% to 31.6%. Tiny on swing gold, huge on 8-pip scalps: the same $19 on a $80 scalp risk is 0.24R and W_be at advertised 1.50R jumps from 40% to 1/(1+1.26) = 44.2%.
Disposition-effect book from the psychology hub: AvgWin = +0.45R, AvgLoss = -1.00R, W = 60%. Expectancy = 0.60 x 0.45 - 0.40 x 1.00 = 0.27 - 0.40 = -0.13R. Across 50 trades at $500: -$3,250. You do not have a win-rate problem. You have a premature-exit problem.
100-trade dollar projection on a $100,000 book
Failing profile 58% at +0.80R / -1.00R: E = 0.464 - 0.42 = +0.044R = +$22, wiped by two $19 commission days. Venasri Performance Analytics should print expectancy in R, not a vanity win rate. If 20-trade E is negative, freeze lot increases.
TP1 partials change average R, not just cash
A 40% partial at 1.50R and 60% runner at 3.00R yields blended R = 0.40 x 1.50 + 0.60 x 3.00 = 2.40R when the runner hits, or 0.40 x 1.50 + 0.60 x 0 if you scratch the rest at breakeven after TP1 = 0.60R. Your sample mix might be 30 full runners, 40 TP1-then-BE, 30 full losses: average win R is not 2.40. Compute it from tickets. 24/7 MT5 Bot Control logs each partial as a volume slice so expectancy is not fiction.
Minimum W_be using blended 1.70R (honest mix) is 37.0%, not the 29.4% you get from advertising 2.40R. Feed the honest R into this calculator.
Use expectancy to set the daily halt, not a profit target chase
If E is +0.55R at $400 risk, expected dollars per trade are $220. A 3-trade day is +$660 expected, variance huge. Do not raise size because you are "behind expectancy" at 11:00. Venasri Risk Management & Equity Guard caps the day at 4.25% regardless of how far sample E sits above zero. start free on Venasri so the cap is live.
Cross-check with the R-multiple expectancy and profit factor guide. Profit factor = GrossProfit / |GrossLoss|; PF 1.80 at this 0.728R profile is typical. PF below 1.20 after 80 trades is a strategy halt, not a risk-percent increase.
