Wide ATR plus two time-zone bombs
1.67 lots lose about $11.10 per pip. A 90-pip dual-print morning is $1,000. 3.34 lots would be $2,000 with room to gap more. Default 1.67 lots. Ban 3.34 lots on any day that has RBA or UK CPI.
connect your MT5 account to Venasri and flatten before 03:15 UTC on RBA days and before 05:50 UTC on UK data days unless you are 1.00 lot swing with a 90-pip stop. Equity Guard at 3.0% fits this ATR.
Rate-path swing versus news lottery
BoE hawkish, RBA dovish (or the reverse) is the H4/D1 product: 0.618 retraces that pay 3R. That is funded-account work at 1.67 lots. Fading the 06:00 UTC UK candle because "it always retraces" is how Cable habits migrate and die on a wider cross.
Asia 00:30 to 04:00 UTC is tradable after RBA, not through it. London is tradable after UK data, not through it. Two "afters," not two "durings."
One sterling-versus-Aussie budget
GBPUSD, AUDUSD, GBPAUD, EURAUD share legs. Combined 0.50% on the shared view. 6.65 and 45 pips go into the Half-Kelly Lot Size Calculator & Equity Guard as a GBPAUD preset, not a Cable preset.
Swing 90 to 150 pips at ~0.95 lots. Intraday 38 to 60 at 1.67. Scalp 18 to 30 only when spread is under 1.2 in London, which you should verify every time, not assume.
GBPAUD checklist: dual calendar, 45-pip stop, spread cap, single cross
Require RBA and UK stamps clear, unused major-leg budget, spread under 2.0, H4 divergence thesis, 45-pip-class stop, 1.95-area handles. Reject 25-pip Cable templates.
Keep it on the Pre-Trade AI Confluence Checklist. Manual Trade Guard attaches 45 pips on click; a 2.0 pip spread plus a delayed stop on 3.34 lots is a self-inflicted daily-limit hit.
