$1 CFD point, $5 YM, $0.50 MYM
Prop US30/DJ30 CFDs are often $1.00 per point per lot. YM is $5 per point. MYM is $0.50. 10.00 CFD lots at a 100-point stop is $1,000 at $1/point. That same 10 lots on YM would be $5,000, the entire 5% daily box, because someone copied a CFD lot onto a futures symbol.
Spread 1.2 to 2.5 points, wider than NAS100. ATR 320 to 600 points, larger in index points than Nasdaq even when percentage vol is lower. Handles 42000, 42500, 43000 (250/500/000) are the psychological steps.
NYSE bell, component earnings, 8:30 AM data
9:30 AM ET opening bell is a whip just like Nasdaq, but the names differ: UNH, GS, CAT can gap the price-weighted index when NVDA is quiet. 8:30 AM PPI/CPI/NFP still gaps YM first. Pre-market component prints are the Dow-specific calendar, not only mega-cap tech.
connect your MT5 account to Venasri and wait for the 9:30 to 9:45 AM range to settle before using POC and 0.618 entries. The first 15 minutes is inventory, not a Volume Profile signal.
10.00 lots at 100 points
On $1/point: lots = 1000 / (stop × 1). At 100 points that is 10.00 lots at 1%, 5.00 lots at 0.50%. Scalp 40 to 65 only after 9:45 AM, intraday 80 to 140, swing 220 to 380. Set $1 (or $5 / $0.50) in the Half-Kelly Lot Size Calculator & Equity Guard.
If NAS100 is already 7 lots, US30 does not get 5 more. 0.91 correlation. One US-index budget. Price-weighting does not make Dow "uncorrelated blue chips" on CPI day.
Trade after the opening range, at POC, not at the bell
Let 9:30 to 9:45 AM print. Then fade or break the range using POC and 0.618 against 250-handles, spread under 2.5, 100-point-class stop. Prime is 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM ET once the whip is done. Skip 8:30 AM holds at 10 lots.
Confirm range-complete, component-earnings clear, and unused Nasdaq budget on the Pre-Trade AI Confluence Checklist. US30 is a post-open structure index. It is a poor bell-scalp at 1.2 to 2.5 point spreads.
