Three Dow contracts, three dollar risks
CFD at $1 per point: 100-point stop is $100 per lot, 1000 / 100 = 10.00 lots. YM at $5 per point: $1,000 is 2.00 contracts at 100 points. MYM at $0.50: $1,000 is 20 micros. Writing "10 lots" without the spec is how a funded account buys a 5% hit by accident.
Typical spreads are 1.2 to 2.5 points. Daily ATR is 320 to 600 points. Intraday stops belong at 80 to 140 points. A 40-point scalp on 25 CFD lots is inside the 9:30 ET bell and inside a CAT or GS pre-market gap.
Price-weighted gaps need a 0.50% default
A 5% floor is $5,000. At $1 per point, 10.00 lots need 500 points to end the day, which is inside a large Dow ATR. A single UNH gap can travel 150 to 250 points before you can edit the ticket. 5.00 lots at 100 points is $500 clean, $1,000 if the gap fills 200 points away.
If you start free on Venasri, read the pre-market component tape before you size. Set Venasri Equity Guard to flatten near 3.5% so a second component print cannot spend the last 1.5%.
NAS100 plus US30 is still one US book
The Dow and Nasdaq share equity beta even when the sector story differs. A full 7-lot NAS100 ticket plus a full 5-lot Dow ticket is one morning of US risk. Split $500 or pick the index that already finished its opening range.
US500 is the third sibling. Correlation Guard should cap the stack. Mega-cap earnings that hit MSFT move both the Dow (price weight) and Nasdaq (tech weight). Two tickets do not hedge that.
Size from 42500 after 9:45 ET
Measure the stop beyond 42000, 42500, or 43000 plus the opening range. If that is 130 points on a $1 CFD, 0.50% is 3.85 lots. Do not cut to 60 points to keep 10 lots. The bell will take 60.
Confirm 13:30 to 16:00 UTC, spread under 2.5 points, and no 12:30 UTC CPI on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. Dow lots look round and friendly. They are friendly only after the spec is $1 and the opening range has printed.
