A $2,200 NQ spike spends the trail before you click
Start at $100,000 with a $3,000 trailing threshold, so the floor begins near $97,000. NQ runs to +$2,200 of open profit. The threshold moves up by that peak. Price then fades to +$100 before you flatten. The worked example leaves about $900 of breathing room, because the floor rose with the spike and the giveback spent most of what the spike had created. The closed trade can still be green. The trail does not care.
The same shape is the reason a static-drawdown habit fails here. A static 3% floor would have ignored the intraday high. Apex marks peak unrealized equity during the day. There is no second, looser maximum in the matrix: the 1-step and the 2-step column are both 3%. Phase 2 target is 0% because the flagship path is one evaluation into a Performance Account, with a 6% target, $6,000 on $100K.
The 2.5% day and the 30% per-trade PA rule
Daily loss is published at 2.5%, $2,500 on $100K, and the daily-loss basis also names a 30% maximum negative PnL per trade on Performance Accounts, plus the intraday trailing threshold. Treat 2.5% as the session cash line and the 30% per-trade rule as a PA constraint you confirm on the dashboard before you size a runner. Do not invent a dollar conversion for that 30% until you know the base your account uses.
Equity Guard, on an MT5 book you run beside this login, should flatten at 1.75%, $1,750 on a $100K notion, so you are out before $2,500. The futures ticket itself still needs a stop the moment it fills on NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Quantower, or Rithmic. Equity Guard does not send that futures order. It is the dollar alarm you mirror with your own flatten.
The lock at starting balance plus $100
On the PA the trail follows peak unrealized equity until the threshold locks at the initial balance plus $100. On $100K that lock level is $100,100. Until you have built enough profit for the floor to reach that lock, every new equity high tightens the room under the open trade. Taking a payout does not rewind the trail. The $137 fee on a $100K evaluation is small next to a trail that moved $2,200 while you were still in the trade.
Minimum trading days on the evaluation are 7. You must be flat before 4:59 PM ET every session, so the trail's "midnight" is the futures close, not 00:00 Prague time. A position held through the close is a rule break and can still be the print that marked the peak. Bot Control can hold that 4:59 PM ET flatten on an MT5 account under the same risk card. It is not a Rithmic order router.
Size the stop so a normal fade is not the trail
A 0.50% ticket on $100K is $500. One NQ with a 60-point stop is $1,200, because NQ is $20 per point. That is 1.2% of the account and 40% of the $3,000 trail on a single planned loss, before any open-profit spike. Two micros, MNQ at $2 per point, with a 60-point stop risk $240 together. That is the contract that can survive a fade. Manual Trade Guard attaches this kind of stop on MT5. On Tradovate you place it at the fill.
Semi-automated assistants are allowed. Fully hands-off unattended bots are prohibited on PA accounts. Quote-to-order limits on Rithmic and Tradovate are a reason to step the stop, not to chase every tick. Open a free Venasri account and store the $3,000 trail, the $2,500 day, and the $1,750 flatten as three different alarms. The 100% split on the first $25,000 per account is collected after the trail has stopped surprising you.
