Let 9:30 AM ET print, then choose micros
The first cash candle regularly runs both sides of the overnight range. Entering during it means the 60-point stop is a guess. Wait until 13:30 UTC has closed. If that candle is already 140 points, skip the session. There are 7 minimum trading days, so a skipped open does not fail the evaluation. A bad open can spend the trail.
MNQ is $2 per point. Four contracts at 60 points are $480, near a $500 ticket. Three contracts at 80 points are $480 as well. One NQ is $20 per point, so the same 60-point stop is $1,200 and a 100-point stop is $2,000, which is most of the $2,500 day. US30 is YM at $5 per point or MYM at $0.50. An 80-point MYM stop is $40 per contract, so a $500 idea is about 12 micros, or one YM near a 100-point stop at $500. Do not run NQ and YM together through the same open.
Quote limits, the 5:1 cap, and the trail
Rithmic and Tradovate enforce CME quote-to-order discipline. Scalping the open by editing the stop every second spends that budget and can leave the real stop behind the wick. Attach the structural stop once. An 80-point stop needs at least 16 points of target, and a 100-point stop needs at least 20, because the stop cannot exceed five times the target.
The trail starts at $3,000 on $100K and walks up with peak open profit. A clean open that shows +$1,600 and then mean-reverts can tighten the floor before you notice. Bot Control should refuse a new MT5 index entry until the 13:30 UTC candle is closed, as the rehearsal for the same pause on the futures platform. Manual Trade Guard attaches the stop on the MT5 side.
The cash open is not an overnight invitation
Whatever you take at 13:30 UTC is closed before 4:59 PM ET. A runner you "want for Asia" is a rule break. The 2.5% day resets with the next session only if this session survived. News may be traded in one direction. A straddle around the open data print is prohibited. If CPI or FOMC sits on the cash open, pick a side or stand aside. Do not bracket it.
A huge winning open can also hurt the payout. No day may be more than 30% of the profit balance. A $2,200 NQ morning against a $6,000 target is about 37%. Stop adding when the day is up near $1,500. Equity Guard at $1,750 catches the losing version of the same open. It does not know you are green.
One index, four micros, then done
The pass is still 10 to 16 trades at about $500, across 7 days, for a $6,000 target. The open is one of those trades, not all of them. Semi-automated assistants may stage the stop. Unattended bots may not run the PA. Up to 20 accounts does not mean 20 NQ contracts into the same 13:30 UTC candle. Correlation across accounts is still one idea.
Register a free Venasri account and write MNQ or MYM on the card, with the point stop and the contract count filled in before the open, not during it. The fee on $100K is $137. One unstopped NQ through the whip can cost more than that before the candle even closes. The 100% first $25,000 split is for the trader who was flat at 4:50 PM ET with the trail still intact.
