4:59 PM ET is a daily flatten, not a Friday footnote
The reset time in the rule matrix is 4:59 PM ET, and the weekend rule uses the same print: all futures contracts must be closed before then, every day. A swing that is green at 4:40 PM ET is a position you exit, not a position you trust to the overnight book. NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, Quantower, and Rithmic are the platforms. None of them turn this evaluation into an FX account that may sit through Sunday.
Daily loss is 2.5%. On $100K that is $2,500. Because you are flat at the close, Wednesday financing and a Sunday FX gap are not the breach path. The breach path is an open NQ loss during the cash session, or a trail that walked up with unrealized profit and then got the giveback. Be flat early enough that a late quote cannot still show a position at 4:59.
The trail keeps the peak even after you flatten
Flattening at 4:50 PM ET ends overnight risk. It does not rewind the intraday trail. If NQ was +$2,200 open at noon and you exit at +$100 near the close, the $100K example still leaves about $900 of a $3,000 hole. You did the weekend rule correctly and the trail rule still tightened. Read the peak, not just the flat time.
On a Performance Account the trail locks at the initial balance plus $100. Until that lock, each new high during the day is a new floor. Equity Guard on a parallel MT5 book should use 1.75%, $1,750 on a $100K notion, as the daily alarm you also watch on the futures P&L. The futures flatten is still your click on Tradovate or Rithmic.
One side of a release, then flat
Directional trading into a release is permitted. Straddling both sides of news is prohibited, and a stop wider than five times the target is prohibited. A 5:1 stop-to-target ticket held into the close is two problems: the ratio, and the 4:59 PM ET flat. An 80-point NQ stop needs a target of at least 16 points to stay inside that ratio. A 10-point scalp against an 80-point stop does not.
Minimum evaluation days are 7, so a Friday hero session cannot finish the combine by itself. Payouts come every 8 trading days, with at least 5 days of $50 or more in net profit, and a 30% consistency rule at payout. A single overnight fantasy does not replace those days. Bot Control can store a 4:50 PM ET reminder for any MT5 account on the same card.
If you wanted a swing, this is the wrong contract
The flagship model is a 1-step futures evaluation into a Performance Account, from $25K to $300K on Rithmic and Tradovate. The fee on $100K is $137. That price does not buy weekend inventory. If the method needs a multi-day hold, the hold belongs on a program that publishes weekend permission. Here the method is intraday, flat, and sized so a 60-point structural stop is micros, not a full NQ that risks $1,200.
Manual Trade Guard attaches a hard stop on an MT5 fill. Use that on any MT5 book you keep, and put the equivalent stop on the futures ticket at the fill so a 4:40 PM ET exit is a planned close rather than a market panic. Create a free Venasri account and write 16:50 ET as the flatten, 2.5% as the day, and 3% as the trail. Semi-automated assistants are allowed. Unattended black-box bots are prohibited on PA accounts.
