A risk manager is in bounds and a latency race is not
Personal EAs and trade or risk managers are permitted. The banned class is high-frequency trading and latency bots. The line between them is behavior: a tool that places a planned stop, moves it to breakeven once, and scales out at levels you wrote down before the session looks like risk management. A tool that cancels and replaces quotes to pick the queue looks like the thing the rule names.
The cap follows the account across four platforms
MT5, Match-Trader, cTrader, and TradeLocker can all host an AquaFunded login. The 2,000-message figure is an account conduct limit, not an MT5-only quirk. Copying a third-party pass bot onto any of them is a different problem from running your own risk script. If you did not write the logic and you cannot explain the order rate, assume the review will be short.
Create a Venasri login and attach the protection to the platform you actually funded. A cTrader account does not inherit an MT5 preset by hope. The stop, the breakeven, and the partials have to exist on the working position.
A legal bot can still print the 5% day
Permission to automate is not permission to risk more. On 2-step Standard the day is 5%, or $5,000 on $100,000, and the static maximum is 10%. Pro maximum is 8%. The 1-step day is 4% with a trailing 6% maximum. An EA that fires three full $1,000 losses in a morning is inside the message cap and outside the day. Size the bot at about $350 to $650 if you want several stops to fit under $5,000.
Seven stops at $650 are $4,550, which leaves $450 and no room for spread. Seven stops at $350 are $2,450. If the bot cannot survive the second number, it is a pass attempt wearing an automation label. Instant and rapid tiers can also fail a 40% best-day test when the bot finally has a huge green session.
Keep a human flatten above the bot
Equity Guard should still flatten a $100,000 2-step near $4,250 even when an EA is allowed to trade. The bot can freeze, widen, or stack correlated gold and index tickets that each looked small. The flatten is the account rule. The EA is a worker. Funded red-folder events also carry a 5-minute window on either side, and a bot that is allowed to trade the evaluation is not automatically allowed to trade that window once you are funded.
Daily loss uses the higher of balance or equity at 00:00, GMT+2 or GMT+3. A bot that holds a large winner through that clock can raise the next day line. Tell it to partial before the AquaFunded midnight, or flatten the runner yourself. Message count and equity math are both reviewed. Passing one does not clear the other.
