0.25 lots is the budget, 0.30 lots is a different plan
Double Helix daily loss is 5%, which is $500 on $10,000. The static maximum is 10%, which is $1,000, so equity at $9,000 ends the evaluation. The 0.50% unit is $50. At $10 per pip on 1.00 lot, 0.25 lots with a 20-pip stop cost $50 exactly. Gold at $10 per 0.10 move needs 0.10 lots on a 50-pip stop to risk that same $50. Both numbers are round, which is why people trust them and then nudge them.
A nudge to 0.30 FX lots is $60 a stop. Eight full losses would be $480, inside the day, but you will not get eight clean fills. Spread and a widened gold stop turn the eighth idea into the breach. Stay on $50. Bot controls can reject the order when the computed cash risk is above $50, which is a better argument than remembering the lot in the heat of a London open.
Phase 1 is two daily budgets, not a single spike
Phase 1 is 10%, or $1,000. Phase 2 is 5%, or $500. Three minimum trading days apply on the way through. At a 2R payoff the $50 unit returns about $100, so the Phase 1 target is on the order of ten net winners after the losers have taken their share. Spending the $500 day on purpose, twice, would also equal $1,000, and it would also equal the entire maximum drawdown. That path passes nothing.
Single Helix changes the survival numbers without changing the $10,000 label. Daily loss becomes 4%, or $400. The maximum becomes 6%, or $600. A trader who keeps a $500 mental model on a 1-step purchase is already through the official day while the note on the monitor still says there is room. Write the product on the same line as the balance.
A $400 float is 4% and it will reprice the next day
DNA Funded takes the higher of day-start balance or equity at 00:00 server time, GMT+2 or GMT+3. On this account a $400 open gold winner is not a pleasant leftover. It is 4% of the book. If the snapshot uses it, a full giveback is $400 of the next $500 hole before you have placed a new trade. Closed balance can still show yesterday as a win.
Weekend holding is permitted on both Helix products, so Friday afternoon is the same decision with more hours attached. Partial anything large before the clock. News is free in the evaluation and becomes a five-minute funded window later. A stop that slips in that window still debits the $500. Tight DNA Markets gold spreads do not cap the slip during a CPI print.
The flatten belongs at $425
Equity Guard on Double Helix should cut the book near $425 of daily loss, 4.25% of $10,000, with $75 left before the official $500. On Single Helix put it near $325 against the $400 day. Do not import a $4,250 figure from a $100,000 article. The guard will sit idle while this account is already closed.
Rapid adds a 40% best-day cap. Forty percent of the $1,000 Phase 1 target is $400. A $420 day fails that test and is still inside a $500 loss line if the sign had flipped. Open a Venasri account and store Rapid and Double Helix as separate risk cards. One $50 unit serves both. One profit-share rule does not.
