FundingPips hidden breach traps and midnight rollover when a $3,500 float marks up

Direct Technical Answer

$3,500 of floating profit at midnight is enough to raise the FundingPips daily breach floor by $3,500. The firm anchors the day to the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 UTC+3. The 5% allowance is then measured from that higher figure, not from closed balance alone.

This is harsher than a reset that only looks at what you have banked. FundingPips looks at the better of the two numbers. If equity is ahead of balance, equity wins, and your next loss budget starts from a place you have not closed.

The $3,500 example is the whole lesson

A float of $3,500 at 00:00 UTC+3 lifts the breach floor by $3,500 immediately. On a $100,000 flagship account the daily allowance is 5% of the reference it just adopted. If you start a free Venasri account, treat a green float near that clock as a decision, not as a trophy. Close it, or accept the new floor on purpose.

The 1-Step day is 4%. The same $3,500 mark-up consumes a larger share of a shorter allowance. Pro's static maximum of 6% and the 1-Step maximum of 6% can still be far away while the new day is already tight. Flex at 12% does not opt out of the midnight comparison.

Why higher-of is stricter than closed balance alone

A balance-only reset would ignore the open gain until you closed it. FundingPips does not ignore it. The higher number becomes the anchor. Traders who learned a different firm's closed-balance habit will think they are safe because the closed profit looks modest. Equity is the number that mattered.

Zero adds a trailing lifetime maximum on top of this daily behavior. A midnight mark-up can tighten the day and the trail together. Standard's 10% static floor will not trail, and it still will not save the day.

The giveback after the clock is the breach

Once the floor has stepped up by the open gain, a pullback spends the new day. You can finish the previous session green, do nothing at midnight, and fail after the open without a new idea. The $3,500 is an illustration of the mechanism, not a minimum. A smaller float raises the floor by a smaller amount. The direction is the same.

Equity Guard has to be armed for the day you are entering, using the raised reference, not yesterday's closed balance. On the flagship pass plan the lock is 4.25% under the 5% line. Recalculate it if the reference moved. A stale lock aimed at the old balance will fire late.

The other traps that hide beside midnight

2,000 requests a day can end a protective trail that was meant to save the float. Funded news can restrict a 5-minute window around a release that hits while you are still holding. Open MT5 bot control and decide before 00:00 UTC+3. Weekend holds are allowed on evaluation and selected funded models, but Friday margin cuts and the Sunday gap are extra ways a legal position spends the new day.

The $399 fee and the three-day minimum are evaluation facts. They do not pause the midnight comparison on a funded account. Payout splits from 60% to 100% are irrelevant if the floor already failed.

Frequently Asked Questions: FundingPips hidden breach traps and midnight rollover when a $3,500 float marks up

How does a FundingPips float change the next day?

At 00:00 UTC+3 the anchor is the higher of balance or equity. A floating gain of $3,500 raises the daily breach floor by $3,500. The next 5% allowance on the flagship path is measured from that higher figure.

Does FundingPips ignore open profit if you have not closed it?

No. Open equity is compared with balance, and the higher one wins. A modest closed profit can sit next to a much larger float. The float is what moves the floor when it is ahead.

Does the $3,500 FundingPips example apply to the 1-Step?

The mechanism is the same higher-of test. The 1-Step daily allowance is 4%, so a $3,500 mark-up consumes a larger share of the day than it does on a 5% flagship account. The 1-Step maximum is 6%.

What else can breach FundingPips while the lifetime floor looks fine?

A 2,000-request day, a funded 5-minute news window, and a Sunday gap after a hold that was allowed. Standard's static 10%, Pro's 6%, and Flex's 12% are lifetime numbers. The daily floor can fail first.
