The opening bar is the filter, not the signal
Cash equities open at 13:30 UTC. The first bar often runs both directions. Selling the low or buying the high of that unfinished bar is how a 60-point structural stop becomes a 120-point fill. Let it close. Then measure 60, 80, or 100 points to the invalidation, and only then compute contracts. There is no extra point allowance because the symbol is an index.
Evaluations allow you to trade the open even when it coincides with data. Funded accounts add a two-minute window, so the same 13:30 entry can be legal on Tuesday of the challenge and illegal on Tuesday of the payout account. Open a Venasri account and store the account status next to the session alarm.
Point value times points times contracts is the only lot
Read the Hantec symbol specification. At $1 per point, a $500 Enhanced unit buys 5 contracts at 100 points or about 8 at 60 points. A $350 unit, the low end of the band, buys fewer. Express should not spend $650, let alone $800, because the day is $4,000 and seven large stops do not fit. US30 uses the same cash test. If its point value differs, the contract count differs. Do not copy the NAS100 number across.
NAS100 plus US30 at full size is one opinion twice. Halve each or pick one. Bot controls should multiply the three factors and reject the order, and they should also reject a second index if the first is already at the unit.
The whip is where 2,000 messages go to die
An advisor that chases the opening bar, moving a stop every few seconds across NAS100 and US30, can post hundreds of messages before 13:45 UTC. Enhanced and Express cap the day at 2,000. You can be inside the $5,000 line and outside the log. Instant cannot run the chase at all. A single stop, placed after the bar closes, plus one breakeven later, is a handful of messages and a clearer scalp.
Day-start balance at 00:00 already fixed the allowance. Morning FX losses count before the open. If Enhanced is down $3,000, the index unit should be zero, not $500. The Express 6% trail adds a second check: a high earlier in the week may have lifted the floor, so the room is smaller than the fresh account screenshot you remember.
If the guard is close, the cash open is over
Equity Guard at $4,250 on Enhanced or $3,250 on Express should be armed before 13:30. When open loss is inside one index slip of that level, skip the session. A 100-point overrun on too many contracts covers $1,000 quickly. The static Enhanced floor and the Express trail will not give the overrun back because it was "just the open."
Weekend index holds, even if you opted in, gap at the next cash reopen. Flatten them. The zero minimum-day rule means a skipped open does not hurt the evaluation. The 80% or 90% split, bi-weekly or 7 days, is paid on scalps that were sized after the bar, not on the bar itself. When the account size changes, recalculate contracts from the new $500-equivalent unit. Five contracts is a $100,000 sentence at $1 a point and a 100-point stop.
