Start at $400 and treat $1,015 as a ceiling you rarely touch
The math is lot times pips times $10. 0.80 times 50 times 10 is $400. 1.45 times 70 times 10 is $1,015. Enhanced's day is $5,000, so the ceiling ticket is about five losses from a stop-out, and that count assumes perfect fills. Express's day is $4,000, so four ceiling tickets are the day, and the 6% trail may be shorter than $6,000 after a high. Default to 0.80 lots. Require a shorter stop before you even consider 1.45.
Two ceiling tickets are usually one US dollar view. Bot controls should sum metals into one budget. A $650 Enhanced band is the practical maximum if you still want several tries. $1,015 is already outside it.
The COMEX open changes the pip count after you click
The metals open can extend a stop by 30 pips in a single wick. A 50-pip plan at 0.80 lots that fills at 80 pips costs about $640. At 1.45 lots the same extension is about $1,160. Evaluations allow you to be in the market for that wick. They do not discount it. Funded accounts add a two-minute window if the wick is also a news release, which the open often is. Wait for the spike to finish if your stop is structural.
Day-start balance at 00:00 set the allowance before the open. A floating profit from Asia does not enlarge it. Register with Venasri and store 0.80 lots as the gold default for $100,000, with 1.45 as a hard reject unless cash risk still prints under the product's band.
The intraday cap is too large for an opted-in weekend
A 60-pip Sunday gap on 0.80 lots is about $480, roughly one Enhanced unit. On 1.45 lots it is about $870. Weekend holding is an option. If it is on, cut the lot on Friday below the intraday cap. If it is off, the position should be flat regardless of how attractive the chart looks. Triple financing on a large metal hold midweek is another debit against the same day-start balance.
The 2,000 message cap matters if a gold advisor trails the wick pip by pip. That is how traders burn the log during the only hour they wanted protection. A fixed stop and one breakeven after the first partial uses a handful of messages and still banks about $100 if you take a quarter off a $400 idea at 1R. Instant cannot run the advisor while it does this.
Flatten before the wick becomes the firm's stop
Equity Guard at $4,250 on Enhanced leaves $750, less than one ceiling gold ticket. If you are already down $3,500, you do not have a 1.45 lot idea left. Express at $3,250 of flatten leaves even less. Skip the open. The static Enhanced floor at $90,000 will still be there tomorrow. The Express trail might be higher than it was yesterday, which is another reason the lot should not grow after a winning gold week.
When the account is $50,000 or $200,000, throw the 0.80 to 1.45 numbers away and recompute cash. They are a $100,000 sentence. The 80% or 90% split will be paid on the gold profit you actually keep, on the bi-weekly cycle or the 7-day add-on, not on the wick you hoped would reverse.
