0.25 lots is the budget and 0.30 lots is a different plan
Two-phase daily loss is 5%, which is $500 on $10,000. The maximum starts at 10%, which is $1,000, so equity at $9,000 ends the evaluation before the lock. The 0.50% unit is $50. At $10 per pip on 1.00 lot, 0.25 lots with a 20-pip stop cost $50 exactly. Gold at $10 per 0.10 move needs 0.10 lots on a 50-pip stop to risk that same $50. Both numbers are round, which is why people trust them and then nudge them.
A nudge to 0.30 FX lots is $60 a stop. Eight full losses would be $480, inside the day on paper, but you will not get eight clean fills. A widened gold stop turns the later idea into the breach. Stay on $50. Bot controls can reject the order when computed cash risk is above $50, which is a better check than remembering the lot during the London open.
The one-phase day is $300, not the $500 you memorized
One-phase daily loss is 3%, or $300 on this balance, while the maximum remains 10%, or $1,000. A trader who keeps a $500 mental model on a one-phase purchase is already through the official day while the note on the monitor still says there is room. Phase 1 on the two-phase path is $1,000 and Phase 2 is $500, with four minimum trading days. At a 2R payoff the $50 unit returns about $100, so Phase 1 is on the order of ten net winners after losers have taken their share.
Spending the $500 day on purpose, twice, would also equal the $1,000 maximum. That path passes nothing. Open a Venasri account and write the product on the same line as the balance. The platforms are MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, and DXtrade. The product name is what changes the day from $500 to $300. The platform name does not.
Plus $500 locks the floor, and a $400 float reprices midnight
Smart Drawdown locks the floor at minus 5% once profit reaches plus 5%. On $10,000 that is a $500 gain, and the floor steps from $9,000 to $9,500. You can be halfway to the $1,000 Phase 1 target and suddenly have $500 less lifetime room than you did at the open. From $10,500 of equity the distance to the new floor is $1,000, not the $1,500 you had a minute earlier.
The daily anchor is the higher of balance or equity at 00:00. A $400 open gold winner is 4% of this account. Held through the snapshot, a full giveback is $400 of the next $500 hole before a new trade. Weekend holding on selected Instant tiers needs the add-on, and Swing tiers include it. The no-challenge Instant book trails 10% and scores a 40% best day. Forty percent of a $1,000 cycle is $400, so a single strong session can fail that product without ever looking like a $500 loss.
The flatten belongs at $425, or at $225 on one-phase
Equity Guard on the two-phase book should cut near $425 of daily loss, 4.25% of $10,000, with $75 left before the official $500. On the one-phase book put it near $225 against the $300 day. Do not import a $4,250 figure from a $100,000 article. The guard will never see that loss on a book this size, because the firm will have closed it at $500 or at $300.
Funded accounts pick up a 2-minute news window unless the add-on is enabled. A stop that slips in that window still debits the $500. Personal advisors and risk managers are allowed. Martingale and grids are not, and the request ceiling is 2,000 a day. A scratch trail on 0.10 lots of gold can burn that ceiling without ever making the $50 unit look large.
