0.50 lots of gold is the unit and 1.00 lot is a different account
Two-phase daily loss is $2,500. The maximum starts at $5,000, so equity at $45,000 ends the evaluation before any lock. The 0.50% unit is $250. Gold pays $10 per 0.10 move at 1.00 lot, so 0.50 lots with a 50-pip stop cost $250. FX at $10 per pip wants 1.25 lots on a 20-pip stop, which is exact, not an approximation. People round gold up to 1.00 lot and leave FX alone, which is backwards: the FX click was already honest.
A 1.00 lot gold stop at 50 pips is $500. A slip to 80 pips is $800. Two slipped full-lot ideas can clear $1,600, most of a morning, with the $2,500 day still looking theoretically intact until the third ticket. Bot controls should refuse gold above 0.50 lots when the stop is 50 pips or wider, and they should refuse a second metals ticket that repeats the same dollar risk.
The lock deletes $2,500 of room at the halfway mark
Plus 5% on this account is $2,500. Smart Drawdown then locks the floor at $47,500 instead of $45,000. Suppose equity is $52,500 when the lock prints. Distance to the old floor was $7,500. Distance to the new floor is $5,000. The rule removes exactly one daily budget of lifetime room at the moment the account finally looks comfortable, and that moment is only halfway to the $5,000 Phase 1 target.
Phase 2 is another $2,500, equal to one full day, across four minimum trading days. One-phase daily loss is 3%, or $1,500, with a maximum that is still $5,000. A two-phase guard habit will not save a one-phase purchase. The no-challenge Instant book trails 10% from the start, a $5,000 hole at the open, and scores a 40% best day. Forty percent of a $5,000 cycle is $2,000. A $2,200 day fails it while sitting inside the $2,500 loss line if the trades had lost instead of won.
A Sunday gap on half a lot is not a small leftover
Weekend holding on selected Instant tiers requires the weekend add-on. Swing tiers include it. A 60-pip Sunday gap on 0.50 lots of gold is $300. That is more than a tenth of the $2,500 day, and it prints before you have decided whether Monday is a trading day. Without the add-on, the hold itself can be the breach even if the gap would have fit.
The daily anchor is still the higher of balance or equity at 00:00 server time. A $1,500 open winner is 3% of this account. Carry it through the snapshot and a full giveback spends $1,500 of the next day while Friday's closed balance looks like a win. Funded news, unless you bought the add-on, is a 2-minute window. A slipped stop in that window debits the same $2,500. Tight spreads do not cap the slip during CPI.
Flatten near $2,125, not at the round $2,500
Equity Guard on the two-phase book should flatten near $2,125, which is 4.25% of $50,000 and leaves $375 before the official line. The one-phase book should flatten near $1,125 against the $1,500 day. The official print is the firm's exit, not yours. Gold slippage on 0.50 lots is why the pocket exists.
Personal Expert Advisors and risk managers are allowed on MT5, cTrader, Match-Trader, and DXtrade. Martingale and grid stacking are banned, and 2,000 server requests a day still binds a $50,000 book. Start a Venasri account before you size the half lot, and store the add-on state for news and weekends on the same card as the $250 unit. A missing add-on is not a small preference at this dollar size.
